Good breakfast is included.
They have canoes and boots that you ca take out for free. That was awesome.
We stayed at Casa Marbella for 7 nights while we enjoyed Tortuguero. The patio is gorgeous, right on the water, beneath dazzling sunsets. Rooms are clean, breakfasts are satisfying, coffee is plentiful. We appreciated the fans in the rooms, the availability of a central fridge...More
Really nice patio for enjoying the sunset or watching the boats driving by on the river. Friendly staff and owner (Canadian). We tried the canoe which was quite a challenge for us with the tide but great fun. Delicious set breakfast, different every day we...More

Tortuguero is very unusual & Casa Marbella is a great place to experience it. The outdoor area makes it! Our room was a little dark & noisy next to the kitchen. But clean & cool. Definately do the morning tour and turtle tour and walk...More

Late August is a great time to visit if you want to see turtles. The peak of the Green Sea Turtle nesting season is the third week of August. If you come towards the end of the month (or even in early September) you will still have an excellent chance to observe them and there will be fewer tourists in late summer.
We have a variety of rooms (no two are alike) and only two of them face the "road" (there are no cars in Tortuguero). Some face into the property and others face the river. Rooms are very affordable and fairly priced according to their size and the view.
Our most economical rooms start at a very reasonable $35 per night including taxes (single ocupancy). We do not charge for coffee, tea and the full breakfast served between 7:00-10:00 every day.
Most people spend the vast majority of their time wildlife watching in the national park (which is practically next door), exploring the village and the attractions in the surrounding area, or sitting on our large covered deck overlooking the river relaxing, sharing photos with their friends and family using our wireless internet, watching birds or just observing the boats going by.
Our guests tend to spend very little time in their rooms so if you want a clean, comfortable and affordable place to stay as a base for your explorations in the area I would recommend one of the more economical rooms.
I see you have already written to us directly. We will be sending you all kinds of details about our accommodations, how to get to Tortuguero and what activities you might like to try. We have friendly, highly-experienced, licensed guides who would be delighted to show you the natural marvels that make Tortuguero a must-visit destination in any nature-lover's Costa Rica itinerary.
Thanks for considering us for your stay. I am confident that you will be very well looked after and will take away some great memories from this little corner in paradise.
