My friend and I paid $30/night for a private room in turtle season. People working there speak little English, but we got by because my friend speaks some Spanish. They are very nice though. The boat tour they booked for us is pretty good. Guide Francisco is very informative and professional. only drawback is the kichen is not that clean.

We paid $20 for a twin room per night which was good value for tortugero as its hard to find anything cheaper. Rooms are basic with a fan, and ours had an ensuite bathroom with hot water. There are hammocks outside which are nice to relax in. We were a bit disappointed that they didn't actually offer the $6 evening...

Cabinas Tortuguero is nothing fancy -- the rooms are basic, as is the common area and kitchen.. but everything is well-maintained and they have everything you need! The hostel is located right next to the park and just a 5 minute walk both to the beach and to the center of town. The rooms have fans, clean bathrooms, and they...

We spent 5 nights in this cabinas tortoguero after arriving 9pm tired from a long days travel. This hostel is cheap, great value, clean, a lovely location, nice owners, and hammocks to boot. What more could you ask for?? Everything you need in a hostel Thanks for a great stay :)

I stayed in a dorm. There was a fan to keep you cool at night, and the room was clean, but very sparse. Just the basics here. However, the reason I love this place so much is because of the guys who run/own it. They are great people and very helpful. Also, there are a lot of hammocks on the...

I spent 2 nights at Cabinas Tortuguero and we stayed in a triple room with private bathroom. Even if the rooms are really basic (no furniture or decorations), sufficiently clean even if not surely immaculate, and the walls provide no soundproofing at all, we enjoyed very much our stay at Cabinas. The location is great, the atmoshpere is laid back...

Cabinas Tortuguero is a cheap place, so don't expect luxury. However, it's ok for this price. The environment is very quiet, safe and relax. The owners are really friendly, always try to help you without stressing you, do their best to make you feel safe and relax. Definitly a good place to stay in Tortuguero.

I spent 2 nights with a friend there. Despite the bad weather we spent 3 really nice days there. They organized tours for us, and was helpfully. We asked some questions about the park, and finally Jose took some hours to go and show us some thing in just for the pleasure to be with (is not guide). The rooms...
