I think we could have stayed here forever. The cabin was beautiful and felt new and the view was just to die for. We spent most of our time there in the hammocks looking at the ocean. Debbie and Jimmy were very gracious and there if you needed anything.

My husband and I spent 4 wonderful days at Mother Dear Cottages. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer! Jim and Debbie were absolutely wonderful! They were there to greet us when we arrived and we immediately felt right at home. The cottages are stunning and sparkling clean. We were tempted to cancel all of our activities and...

Its difficult to over state the helpfulness and hospitality of the hosts Jimmy and Debbie. They are both genuinely lovey and interesting people. The location of the property is stunning and the amenities are excellent. The cleanliness throughout is first class and the welcome pack of items in the fridge thought full , especially for those arriving late on their...

My wife and I stayed here from Oct 4 - Oct 10 , 2015. We had a wonderful time. The cottages were immaculate with an awesome view of the water. Jimmy and Debbie are excellent hosts. Whenever we required an assist they were there. Great suggestions for things to do. This is a gem. There are only 2 cottages which...

Just got back from two weeks in Costa Rica. Of the four places we stayed, this was by far the best. We didn't want to leave. The beach is amazing, the grounds beautiful and the hosts, Jimmy and Debbie, were so helpful and nice. Pictures don't do it justice. Would go back in a heartbeat.

This had to be one of the nicest places we've stayed in the world! If we were to build a beach side cottage - I would want it to be like Mother Dear. The native woods, furniture, kitchen supplies, quality linens, candles, fans, beach towels and many more details that Jimmy and Debbie have put into this place were fantastic!...

Wow. The photos just don't do this little treasure justice. The cottage is absolutely stunning, with gorgeous hardwood floors and a remarkable view of the ocean and private garden. Jimmie and Debbie have gone far reaches to make their guests comfortable. They provide beyond beyond basic amenities in the kitchen (olive oil, butter, salt, pepper, coffee, sugar), but be sure...

My husband and I stayed at Mother Dear in July last year. The property is wonderful. We had a largely empty, beautiful beach to enjoy right at our fingertips and spent our mornings and early evenings gazing at the ocean from our balcony. Our cottage was extremely comfortable, spacious, spotless and set up to provide maximum privacy. We slept well...

The mother Dear lodges are the perfect location to hang out at the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. It is well located, close to the nice village Puerto Viejo. The lodges have direct access to the shore, where you can swim. We hired two lodges for our family of five. Great design, one of the best places we have been...
