We stayed there for two nights (three young children, six adults). Pros: Beautiful setting. It is truly beachfront and the area nearby is amazing. The boys were able to play safely in the water and on the sand. Very relaxing. A++ As the houses are close to each other you run into other guests a lot. We had good luck...

We rented La Caracola for a family trip for the end of year celebration and we had a VERY bad surprise. The house was in very poor conditions and dirty. There was a lot of sand on the floor, some of the sheets were not clean, the towels had rust on them. Most of the doors and windows didn't even...

Great place for vacation! If you like a more basic and relaxed vacation without noisy restaurants and crowded pools, this is the place! My family and inhad a great experience in one of the quietest and cleanest beaches of Costa Rica. La Caracola is a 5 house complex surrounded by real nature! We stayed at Fruta e Pan house, it...

La Caracola offers a beachfront property. We stayed in La Conga which, of all their rentals, is the one right up front and center with the beach. We took a month vacation here and it was exactly what we needed…. a Caribbean get-away with so many options nearby. We spent many days on the beach, from sunrise to sunset, snorkeling,...

La Caracola has the perfect setting but the house itself it falling apart, however, the worse are the mosquitoes!!! We were not able to sleep one single night. My 2yo had mosquito bites all over his body and face because the whole house was screenless! A house in the tropics needs screens on windows and ceiling to keep bugs out,...

We stayed in the Frutepan house in January of this year. It had the perfect amount of space for our family of eight. Plenty of room for the kids to roam. The only thing I really didn't like was the stains on the sheets and towels. The kitchen sink rags were not good either. So when I went to town...

The setting for this property is perfect. That is the only thing. We rented La Konga for one week, and stayed one day. The accommodation was dirty, termite droppings, bugs, worn and stained linen. One toilet and the coffee pot didn't work. The worst was the smell of mold throughout, including in the mosquito netting. It was impossible to sleep...

My husband and I rented here. I know it's a big house for two people, but we were expecting family to visit. First of all, La Caracola is a family owned compound where many family members own homes which are very close to each other. You will not have privacy or quiet here, especially if you stay in the Frutepan...

We stayed in the beachfront house. The property is nice, well managed, the staff is very friendly, as were the neighboring guests, some of whom are long term. The beach is immediately in front of the property. The main, beach-facing house is old and needs renovation, but was very comfortable and well equipped. The 4 casitas behind the main house...

“La Conga sits in front of the beach, as well as the owners original house. Other houses sit behind these, and therefore don't have ocean views. La Conga has 2 bedrooms, and might be too small for families, but great for a couple.”

“Don't stay in the "Frutepan" house. It's surrounded by too many houses and a parking lot. Ask for the house ON the beach called Conga or Caracola.”
