We got delayed getting out of San Jose with our rental vehicle so made an unplanned stop in Heredia and chose Las Flores from our Lonely Planet Guide Book listing. The hotel was clean and the rooms were ok plus the secure parking in the courtyard was nice. Our room had a balcony although it was too cold to use...

I stayed there for two nights because when you are on a longer trip sometimes you need some privacy. The ordeal began when I asked one of the owner family's daughter to keep my passport-that I have just given her for the usual check in procedure-for five minutes because I wanted to buy some groceries and had no room in...

we came to heredia expecting something else than we found. We tought Heredia would be a good alternative to staying in San Jose, though we found nothing interesting to do here. As the it was late to return to San Jose by the time we realized this, we followed the lonely planet to this place. The hotel is clean, rooms...

Can't beat the value. I stayed here by myself for five nights and although it wasn't perfect, I was impressed. They charge by the person, which is great if you're by yourself - only cost $80 for five nights. The hotel is family-owned and operated. Most of the family is very friendly. I was glad I could speak some Spanish....

In truth, I have not stayed at Flores recently. I just put some friends up there and I eat at the soda (small restaurant) a couple times a month. I did stay there regularly for many years, before I moved to Costa Rica. This is a true budget gem. It is clean, safe, friendly, comfortable, and conveniently located. Heredia is...

This hotel is anything but fancy...it is more like a motel. But the price is right considering the private, gated parking lot included and the location, which is very close to the center of Heredia. It feels very secure and safe. I recommend this hotel for someone wanting to stay in Heredia town or looking for a cheap option. It...
