A short but sweet review: clean, safe, comfortable, friendly, convenient, accommodating, close to amenities but away from the crowds. Sound perfect? It is. The Tamarindo Yam is where I will stay each and every time in Tamarindo. The property is wonderfully appointed (fabulous pool, by the way), but makes this place a winner are the staff. It's nice to feel...

The Tamarindo Yam is a quiet, small and cozy hotel. The rooms are nice with teak wood and updated appliances. The AC is cold and is always welcomed at the end of a busy day. The grounds are very well kept and the pool is small but nice and clean. I like that the hotel is off the beaten path...

My husband and I stayed at the Tamarindo the end of February and 1st week of March. The location is perfect...away from the busiest part of town. To get anywhere in town is easy and within walking distance. We got a great room which had great service everyday.Thank you to Steybin, Gretel and Alexis for providing this happy friendly environment. A pleasant and comfortable place to be in Tamarindo. We liked that it is quiet, five minutes from the beach, and away from the busier parts of town. (But not so far away that you can't walk there in about 10 minutes). The staff is also very friendly and helpful: Thanks to Alexi for getting on your bike at 4:00...

We enjoyed our stay at Tamarindo Yam so much last year that we stayed again in December 2011. We had a fantastic stay again. We loved the expanded pool area! It was nice to have more room to lounge and to sit at the tables with umbrellas for shade. The garden area is pretty and further enhances the peaceful stay....

We checked in here on the spur of the moment after a bad experience at the Beach Bungalow B&B. This place is nice, big rooms, clean, hot water with working A/C, nice staff. Not too far from the beach. I'd definitely stay here again.

Tamarindo Yam certainly has many points to recommend it, as in previous reviews, but unfortunately we had 4 terrible nights sleep due to the poor bedding used. I don't know what their mattresses and pillows are made of, but you ended up leaving a trough like the Grand Canyon in each side of the bed, which seemed to harden into...

We stayed 6 nights and the hotel is a very nice place. GOOD Situated a little faraway from the main street it is quite intimate and not noisy neither at day nor at night. Still the walking to the beach is really 10 min only with a small baby walking. The room we had was a large one with full...
