It was nice being a 5 minute walk from the main downtown hustle and bustle if you're looking for a bit of peace and quiet in a busy tourist area. Private path to the beach was really nice. Clean, good A/C for the peak hot hours, lovely garden area to sit and relax in hammocks, safe, secure, and the French...

My wife and I travelled to CR for the first time in February, and chose Hotel la Laguna del Cocodrilo as our last stop because of the short distance from the Liberia airport. Shortly after our arrival, we realized we had found a very special place. This small hotel is located a perfect distance from the Tamarindo strip. Quiet, but...

I headed to Tamarindo to surf and friends of mine warned me that Tamarindo is a loud, busy, party town. Which wasn't what I was looking for, I just wanted to surf and relax. Tamarindo is busy, however, Hotel Cocodrilo is a tranquil oasis on the end of the commercial district of the town. Once you step inside you feel...

I would stay at this hotel again. The staff are super friendly, the rooms were nice, and the attached French bakery is a great bonus. I'd recommend having breakfast at the bakery, you won't be disappointed. The only negatives were that the wifi was unreliable, and there were a lot of ants crawling around our bathroom. Nothing serious though!

We had such a wonderful experience at this hotel. It was quiet, serene, clean, tastefully decorated and right on the beach. It was perfect because we were inbetween the busy scene in taramindo to the left and the peaceful playa grande to our right. The best part was the French bakery connected to the hotel -- they have the best...

This little hotel is a great value. 1. Rooms: We stayed on the first floor, ocean view. The view is primarily of the garden but the beach and ocean are visible. The second floor rooms/suites have a better view of the ocean and some are larger but also more expensive. Our room slept three in two beds. It was simple but...

This hotel was not bad, but I thought for what we paid we would get alot more out of it.. the A/C was nice, but the beds were SO squeaky. The location to surf break was okay, little walk. The front desk gentleman hardly spoke English but was very helpful drawing us alot of pictures. Overall, I would not stay...

Short walk into the main part of town. Short stroll down to the sand. Great bakery/cafe onsite. Tours easily booked. Knowledgeable staff. Gated at night. Room #12 was garden-facing and great with lots of wildlife in the nearby trees. The shower was my only complaint - although it was aesthetically pleasing, the water pressure/faucet was wonky.

This hotel was average, but the service was awful!!! I was shocked at how rude the front desk lady was to my boyfriend. Location is nice, a bit far, but right on the beach. Quiet. Clean rooms and AC is good though. I just think we expected a nicer place considering the cost.

The French bakery in connection to the hotel is a clear plus, as is the friendly hotel staff. Clean and ok standard, close to the beach and a short walk to "down-town" Tamarindo. Our room was however facing the street and was not nice at all, contained a small terrace (behind a high fence to the street), very noisy and...
