This is little gem of a hotel. The rooms are more like small apartments fully equipped kitchen and private ocean view balconies. The suites are clean and quaint there are lots of windows and high ceilings very bright and airy. It is a small building with many returning clients it has a homey feel to the building and property. It's...

You will not find a better value, laid back place in tamarindo! I previously spent 1 month here 4 years ago and it was just as pleasurable to be back. Its a quiet place with a short walk to tamarindo beach and downtown. Nice private decks with an amazing ocean view, nice clean pool to keep cool. Very homely feel,...

I have been coming to Tamarindo with friends for more than 20 years and have stayed in many different accomodations. the cost per pleasure ratio at la Colina is by far the best! The view and the atmosphere are unparalleled. It is not 5 star, but makes no pretentions either. It is clean and comfortable and convenient.

First off , I just spent 5 months living at la Colina and loved Tamarindo and Costa Rica . I knew what I was getting as far as the owner of la Colina goes , I have heard rumors of how he is a crook and a racist but I loved the location and view so we decided to stay...

Really nice appartments with great view, especcially with sunset. The interior and kitchen are not modern and the rooms are big with good work airconditioning. Nice terace table and four chairs. Really nice pool, with lawnchairs and umbrella's. Few minute walk from downtown and supermarket in quit area. Exept for the howlermonkeys you hear sometimes its really nice and quit.

My cousin and I stayed at La Colina during our time surfing with Witch Rock Surf Camp down the road from this hotel during our stay. It was about a 5-7 (depending on how tough the waves were that day) minute walk from the camp and from the beach. It is very beautiful at the hotel; the views, the pool,...

I was staying at la Colina, for 8 weeks starting in January, I was booked there through my language school, as they had no more space in their own compound. Turned out I was quite fortunate. Check in went without a hassle, and the rooms are quite nice as well! the top floors have a perfect sunset views, and the...

I stayed at La Colina for almost a month back in the summer of 2006. We rented one of the top-floor suites and it was amazing. There were two bedrooms (a master with a queen, and a smaller room with two twin beds) as well as a large living room and a full kitchen. While the room and the hotel...

La Colina Hotel is a very nice place! The view of the ocean is breathtaking, the on-site pool is one of the biggest I have seen at a small hotel and rooms themselves are very comfortable. This place is a short walk to the beach (300 meters) and I suggest renting a bicycle. Overall, this is a great value and...

I've been there many times with my family and also with friends because for me it has the best view in Tamarindo and also a short walking distance to the beach. It's a great place to relax. The rooms are very comfortable and always clean. I truely recommend it :)
