I think having an owner that lives on-site and makes an effort to meet the guests and offer advise is rarely found in most cities. It was obvious he loves living in Tamarindo and we enjoyed conversing with him. The restaurant was delicious and breakfast was really good, but since we stayed for 3 days, we would have enjoyed a...

We stayed at hotel Arco Iris for two nights while in Tamarindo. Given it's proximity to the beach, and great staff, our stay was a wonderful introduction to the hospitality inherent to Costa Rica. The owner made it a point to look out for US, and we certainly had no complaints with accommodations. The restaurant on premise was really good...

I think the subject line says it all but I'll elaborate a little to paint a more complete picture. There are a couple of buildings on the property, so you'll either be in a one story villa-like building in a room that shares a wall and patio with hammoks, or you are in a two story with a shared deck....

I'm so glad we decided to stay here (August 15-20). With little information on Tamarindo itself, Arco Iris turned out to be a safe haven that felt more like we were staying with friends than at a hotel. Kudos to Richard and his staff - especially CoCo for providing a comfy, intimate setting where you feel like you've known them...

We stayed a week in one of the separate units of Arco Iris. Richard, the owner, was very welcoming, gave us free breakfast even though we were early for check-in, and gave us helpful recommendations throughout the week. The layout is tranquil and rustic. Only thing that didn't make me give it a 5 of 5 was the toilet liked...

Fabulous hotel, wonderful staff, peaceful atmosphere! The rooms are modern, spacious and incredibly clean. I absolutely loved the hammock on my front porch. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Richard went above and beyond to help make arrangements for me to go to a festival in Santa Cruz on the 25th. I was traveling on my own...

Long story short- great hotel. My review echoes many of the other wonderful comments on this site. This is a boutique hotel that is charming and clean and quiet. If you are looking for an all-inclusive party scene, this is not your place. We were exhausted after our daily excursions and were usually in bed by 10. Because of its...

We just got back from our 4 night stay at Hotel Arco Iris. Before the trip, I read through the reviews for this hotel and the hotels around the beach, and was pretty confident that this would be the most comfortable and beautiful. I was right. First off, the hotel is a 3 minute walk to the beach. No joke....

Modern rooms with A/C and wireless. Lots of tile and tropical wood. Grounds are safe and attractive and the pool is really nice for hanging out. It si 3-5 minute walk to the beach and is a small hotel, not a resort. One couple there while we were complained the beach was too far and no pool bar-so if that...
