This was my first ever stay at a hostel, I was always kinda scared of the concept especially as a single female traveler, but this experience proved me wrong. It was clean and safe and I met some pretty awesome people there. The surf instructor was a cool dude, on the third day of our surf lessons he took us...

Stayed at blue trailz for over a week, best hostel in town and one of the best in central Americas. Clean, quiet, awesome location, a real home away from home. Gretel who is a surf instructor and also mans the front desk sometimes is super friendly and went out of her way to accommodate us on many occasions with her...

This hostel was the best hostel I stayed during my trip. Its very clean and the rooms are really good! The beds are very nice and you've got AC :-) The atmosphere in the hostel is great because its quite small so you get to know everybody very quick. Location and staff were also great, would really recommend staying here!

Ive checked many hostels in Tamarindo, and Blue Trailz is the best. Place is clean, its cheap, has AC and its 1 min from a beach/shops. Common area is great place to meet new people. Staff is kind and very helpful.

I love this place. I have stayed here at least 5 times! The staff always treat me like gold (even if I don't deserve it sometimes ;-) If you want a smaller more intimate hostel experience with a great socializing space. THIS HOSTEL IS FOR YOU

Small hostel, no bar, no pool. Location couldn't be better, across from a great beach with cheap surf rentals and lessons at the hostel. Also across the street from a grocery/convenience store. Rooms had AC and a fridge which was great.

Blue trailz is seconds from Tamarindo beach. The private rooms were very clean, coming from hostels with shared bathrooms, kitchen and no AC so having our own kitchen, shower, bathroom and AC was luxury. The staff weren't friendly or willing to help (expect for the lady that checked us out) we walked to coral reef to get information on shuttles and...

Great small surf hostel. Met lots of great people here. Super chilled out and walking distance to everything. Rooms were clean and showers were great. Reasonably priced and the women who worked the front desk were very helpful! Thanks for a great stay!

I spent three nights here. I had a private room. Clean, everything works, hot water, the little courtyard was my little paradise in the evening with a limon cerveza, staff is so kind, I will absolutely be back here. A big plus was that it was right across the beach. I'm feeling nostalgic now!!

My friend and I traveled to Tamarindo over the American Thanksgiving holiday weekend, Wednesday - Sunday. We shared a private room at Blue Trailz, on the upper level of the hostel. It was absolutely perfect. The staff - including front desk, cleaning/maintenance, and surf instructors - were all very friendly and excited to liaise guests during their stay. In the...
