The staff is amazing! Even though they didn't had room for my first night (I arrived to Tamarindo on high season on a Friday without reservation), they helped me get a room for that night in another hostel. The next days I stayed in Tamarindo Backpackers and it was awesome! The place is nice, clean, good kitchen, great pool, and...

It's been so far the best hostel I stayed during my trip in Costa Rica. Staff is very nice and helpful. The kitchen has everything you need to cook anything you want. Rooms and dorms are cleaned everyday, such as the rest of the hostel. One love to Camil. Hope to be there again one day.

Where do I start? I travel standby because my mom works for air Canada. And didn't know if I would be getting on the flight. After a long tiring year this was my first solo trip December 25-January 1. I got on the flight and when I got to the hostel, I knew I wouldn't want to leave. Anne, the...

Where do I even begin? The booking process was super easy, a couple quick emails with the owner & I had a bed and shuttle lined up, everything else fell into place from there. From the moment I walked in the door, I knew I was in the right place. The staff, the guests, the music... everything was friendly &...

I give this hostel 2 stars bc both the owner and Bridgette the girl at the reception were both very accommodating and kind. As for the hostel they were charging me $15 a night while others were paying $10. And if you go down the street you can get a dorm room with a lot more space, less people, clean...

Hi, first I want to say thank you for your feedback and I'm so sorry that you didn't have the experience that you wanted. I had a very long talk with my manager Dan after I read this review. Of course I'm disappointed with his service. I would like to add that this is not representative of our usual service....

Tam Backpackers may have been the highlight of my friend and my trip to Costa Rica and Nicaragua. All the staff- Lucas, Pat, Dan, Camille, Brig, were amazing people who made us feel like family right from the get go. The place itself is great, not far from downtown yet quiet.

Where can I start with this place, Tamarindo Backpackers is by far the best hostel I've ever stayed at! Definitely better than the others I have tried in Tamarindo. It isn't located on the main strip of town, so you don't have to worry about hearing people walking by at night. And it's just a 5 minute walk from the...

Stayed here for 3 nights. Loved it. Friendly helpful staff and comfy beds and a pool, nice open communal areas to chill in. Would highly recommend. Only a 10min walk from town. Super close to the beach and some good traditional restaurants :)

How do I sum up my time at Tama Backpackers? To start, the staff is INCREDIBLE. The owner is always around with a smile, and all the staff that live on site are so approachable and fun. They really made staying here feel like I was staying in a house with some friends. The dorms are some of the best...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tamarindo Backpackers is a boutique beach hostel. Anne the owner works very hard to improve the hostel on a daily basis. Tamarindo Backpackers is a small, friendly place to stay just minutes from the beach. Get to know fellow travelers in the communal kitchen or chilling by the pool. Its a super friendly and fun atmosphere. We are the Lonely Planet Guide recommended hostel in Tamarindo for several years running! Here's what Lonely Planet has to say about us: "Our favorite hostel in Tamarindo, this intimate, all-star backpacker spot, in a gorgeous yellow hacienda is big enough to make new friends . . . small enough to feel more like home. The common kitchen area has a large, full-stocked shared Kitchen, cable TV and FREE coffee. Dorm and private rooms are clean and comfy. Outside, you will find lovely tropical gardens, small pool and hammocks, all surrounded by woods where you'll hear howler monkeys every morning".- By Lonely Planet 2011.
