The staff and grounds at Cala Luna were excellent and they provided for every need and request. The complimentary breakfast buffet was extremely well prepared with a lot of good choices in fruit, meats, eggs, breads and pastries. Tamarindo's roads were in need of repair so getting to and from the hotel was an adventure but the villa grounds were immaculately...

Elegant boutique hotel with fine dining and a great staff very attentive to guests needs. They even cooked the fish we caught that day. I loved the secluded lovely but rocky beach with beautiful sunsets.

We had a lovely one night stay at Cala Luna. We had a small but clean and nicely decorated room for the 4 of us. We enjoyed the excellent customer service, welcome drink and great breakfast. Would highly recommend and will stay here again.

Our friends told us about this place and everything they said about Cala Luna was right! It's a $5 cab ride or bike ride away from tamarindo town. Too far to walk in the heat though. The sunset cocktails is a really nice perk. My 12 year old son loved catching fish in the tide pools. The howlers are everywhere....

We stayed in a large 3 bedroom villa with a private pool that has all of the amenities that you would want. Very nice linens, couches, kitchen appliances, tv, etc. Buffet breakfast has a good selection and quality. The staff is super pleasant and there are security guards on duty at all times. The property is well off of the...

This review is a little late but very much deserved. I would give it 5+ stars if I could. This was recommended to us by our travel agent, and I have to say I was very impressed. Absolutely gorgeous hotel with a nice pool that we did use! Well appointed villas that were clean, cozy and very private. We loved...

Returning to Cala Luna not quite two years after my first visit with my daughter was fabulous. Cala Luna's lush tropical setting feels tucked away, but is perched steps above breathtakingly beautiful beaches. The action of Tamarindo is fun, but head the other way for quieter swimming beaches and a more secluded setting (definitely check out the river mouth and...

The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. The staff is super friendly be we had excellent dinners and evenings at the hotel. The hotel garden ist beautiful and feels very tranquil. We had twice baby monkeys in the tree above us at the pool and during the free yoga sessions in the morning. Our boys would have preferred a hotel...

I am very picky about hotels and this place is great!! Welcome drink with Breakfast every morning (included with our room) and a sunset cocktail on the beach every night!! Great bikes to ride downtown instead of driving and far away from the main town not to hear the night light. Wonderful and courteous staff and the rooms were great....

Overall a beautiful hotel with a great pool but for this price the restaurant needs to be significantly better. It's not difficult especially to cook simple quality italian food. Or good Costa Rican food. Also, on Friday nights they have a loud live band that could be heard in our room (especially the drums) until 11 pm. Hopefully they will...
