We loved our stay at Sol y Luna. Bungalow was clean and comfortable, equipped with a small kitchen. The beach was a short walk. It was nice having a pool available for a break from the beach. Perfect! We did not have a car, so we were a bit limited with transportation to/from the lodge. Alex was extremely generous and...

The bungalows at Sol y Luna are great. Some of the areas were a bit unclean like the bathroom. I loved the mini kitchen, and it's easy to live in + great prices. The owner is an architect and the whole place is structured well. The pool and jacuzzi are above and beyond what is expected. And the beach is...

This place is FAR from Tamagringo. If that's what you seek, it might be right. Great pool. Tico hospitality. Backyard BBQ. A bit far from the beach but walkable. And the beach, Playa Grande, is out of this world. I grew up in Hawaii, have high standards, and I consider this beach to be top shelf. My 10 year old...

We came to Costa Rica for our honeymoon and stumbled upon Sol Y Luna on the Internet, and I am so thankful I did. This place is wonderful. The host, Alex, is extremely hospitable. He prepared us meals for supper and they were delicious. Cristian who also works with Alex was great and took care of us while we lounged...

We spent several nights at Sol y Luna and loved every minute of it! Alex and the other guests were so nice, the pool is spectacular and the walk to the beach was especially memorable because of all of the monkeys living in the treetops! Alex's place felt like the Costa Rica we came to know and love 10 years...

My wife and I have been playing and working in CR for 25 years and have stayed in a lot of places in the P. Grande area. The last few years we have stayed at S y L and always enjoy it. The cabinas are basic and supply all the needed amenities but it is an "authentic Tico experience". An...

3 weeks was not long enough. Walking through the jungle every morning to the nicest beach in the world was special. Alex and staff were very helpful. Hopefully next year will be longer. Great space to get away from life's stress.
