What a wonderful surprise! A total get away from it all. The staff is excellent in taking care of making you feel welcome, comfortable and simply want more! We just enjoyed our niece's special day out on Playa Grande and the hotel helped host a great night of celebration. The food was great, the drinks were flowing and the music...

Hotel Bula Bula is a small, ten room motel, with beautifully kept grounds, pool, and rooms. The room was small but we were only in there to sleep and shower otherwise we were outside. Air conditioning worked great, the shower water pressure not so great but good enough. The people who worked for the motel and their fabulous restaurant, Waltini's,...

We spent our last night in Costa Rica at Hotel Bula Bula. Upon arrival, we were given a room very close to the bar. Our request to move was acted upon immediately. The entire staff was so friendly and very accommodating. The bar was a great mix of folks, and everyone including the owner were super friendly! We had dinner...

We stayed at Hotel Bula Bula on our Costa Rican trek through 3 different cities, and it was by far our absolute favorite. It's small, quaint, and in a nice quiet location a short walk to Playa Grande. It is also located on the river, where you can be picked up by a boat and be taken into nearby Tamarindo...

Located at the head of a beautiful bay and in a gated community this place is pretty sweet. Very nice rooms with bright colors and tile surround a courtyard pool. An open air restaurant and bar have tight views of the bay where you can rent kayaks, etc. Not a bad price for a nice, secluded place.

We did not stay at Bula Bula, but we had several meals there. All of the food was very good - I especially enjoyed the breakfasts, but the dinners were just as good. The people working there were all very friendly and helpful. I recommend paying in Colones if possible because one of the waiters seemed to pad the total...

What a fun experience! Traveled by boat to restaurant - beware you need to get in the water so where appropriate sandals. Nice buffet with good selection. Margaritas a little too sweet. Ask about local beers instead. There is a good selection. Very kid friendly!

This restaurant is fabulous! Food and drink divine and Ernesto takes very good care of the diners - he is fun, personable and made sure our meal was flawless! A must stop if in the Playa Grande/Tamarindo area!
