The road to reach the hotel is totally miserable, if you don't have a 4x4 be sure that you don't need to leave the place before the check out date. During our stay we broke the front bumper and we flat a tyre, we explain to the manager that considering the damages and money that we are gonna pay to...

Hello Filippo, I'm sorry that you feel you had such a bad experience in our hotel. But I DO NOT agree with anything you have written in this review. You left without paying your bill so I have a hard time understanding how you can write such a negative review with so many inaccuracies with regards to the water, toilet...

We were two friends staying for a week at El Manglar Hotel . We absolutly loved it. The staff is more than helpful and everything is very clean. We had the most comfortable stay and we recommend it to anyone. The acces to the beach is private and 1 minute walk, it's a peacefull paradise and we will certainly go...

Great stay in the 2 bedroom villa at hotel El Manglar. Ariel was fantastic. Very relaxing. The beach is beautiful and not filled with people. We had diner at hotel el oasis, the young French couple that now own it plan to have an international menu. Great little hotel, impeccably maintained.

My girlfriend and I stayed at El Manglar for nearly 2 weeks at the end of the rainy season. As such, we basically had the whole place to ourselves. The one bedroom villa we had was clean, comfortable, and simply furnished...perfect for a hassle free vacation. The access road was a little rough, but worth it to be away from...

Can't say enough about how helpful the staff was. The surf school was awesome and the recommendations were spot on. The only complaint I had was we did not have air conditioning and the windows did not open up completely. Luckily we brought another fan and there were 2 other ones in the room so we made it work. We...

This was our second stay in Playa Grande, and both times we have had surf lessons through El Manglar and used the facilities. The grounds are extremely well kept and the staff is amazingly helpful. In addition to surfing lessons they arranged ATV tours, beach and bar excursions, and even a trip to the local Fiesta. The owners Javi and...

The road to access the hotel is probably one of the worst in Costa Rica, a country with already some very bad roads. I've never seen "potholes the size of cars" until I tried to drive to this hotel. At night, it's downright scary with black ponds that you have no way to gauge the depth of, and pretty much...

Spent one month in Playa Grande at Manglar Hotel with a friend and it was just PERFECT. Away from the busy town Tamarindo, it is the perfect place to relax, enjoy the beach and all its activities (surfing, watching the turtles, monkeys and sunsets...) The hotel is very clean, has a great swimming pool and very friendly staff that will...
