We stayed here for 3 nights and it was awesome! The rooms are very clean and well decorated. There's a pool to cool off in, and lounges under a row of Palm trees. It's a 2 minute walk to a perfect surfing beach, and there's a great bar/ restaurant. They do fantastic food and there's a really friendly chilled out...

Spent a couple of nights there on the 4 and 5 of January. Clean rooms, friendly helpful staff and owners. I would recommend to anyone. Did not have to formally check-in because we arrived before 2 but they gave us the keys and told us not to worry about the check-in, we could figure it out later. They even brought...

I can't say enough good things about La Marejada. I traveled there for (American) Thanksgiving week in November with my husband and two teenage girls. We were looking for a clean, safe, friendly hotel located as close as possible to Playa Grande's beautiful surfing beach and famous turtle nesting sites. We were not disappointed. La Marejada is a small hotel...

Playa Grande in itself is one of the best place in Costa Rica. Our stay at this hotel highly contributed to the fantastic experience we had. The owners are welcoming and very helpful. We immediately felt like home. The rooms are top notch and tastefully decorated. They have a nice and relaxing swimming pool area very well maintained. Next to...

My boyfriend and I stayed here on a whim while travelling and what a pleasant surprise! The service was outstanding - the rooms were simple, clean, open and cool and the atmosphere was amazing - so relaxed and friendly. We had the fish tacos and sangria at any given opportunity and have been trying to emulate them ever since. (going...

I spent 3 weeks at La Marejada and had a wonderful experience. The property is very well maintained, the rooms are kept very clean and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. The beach is a short walk away with great surf. Best of all, the owners of two of the nicest people I met on my trip. I...

This was the perfect hotel choice for our family of four (two teens)! Loved the low-key vibe of the place and Gail/Marco are so helpful and accomidating! We stayed eight nights and my kids and husband surfed nearly six hours a day on beautiful Playa Grande (two minute walk to the surf from this hotel). Our rooms were impeciably clean,...

My wife and I did not stay La Marejada (stayed at Hotel Cantarana) but decided to venture into "town" for a bite to eat. Hands down the best fish tacos we have ever had. The waiter had a great sense of humor, brought us free appetizers, even 2 shots after dinner. Not sure about the stay but we highly recommend...

What a great place. Rooms are almost flawless. Beds are as good as they could be. Marco and Gail were great hosts the whole stay. Only thing to consider about the rooms is that they don't have TV, but you have the sun, beach and amazing waves just a few steps away (is just a short trail between the beach...
