My boyfriend and I were backpacking on a budget and flew into Liberia. This was one of the cheapest places we could find when we showed up to the airport - I think we paid around $35 a night, When we arrived in our room we dumped our bags and went to eat. When we returned, there were bedbugs crawling...

Very unfriendly girl at the receptionat night. Waitress hides as she sees you approche the bar to order a drink, Rooms are small and far from clean. Didn't she the coke dealer offering prostitutes mentioned in an other post, but I wouldn't have surprised me. For $35 there are far better options. Best thing about it is cheking out.

We paid more at this hotel than other hotels in other locations during our 3 week stay in Costa Rica. We were shown a very small room, with a private bathroom. The room was not as clean as we would have liked, and there was only cold water in the shower. The shower head did not exist and the water...

The only good thing about this place is that it is close to a bus station that will get you out of there quick. They charge you significantly higher than their list prices, and then say they haven't updated their webpage in years, and I should have noticed that, as if its my job to check it. It's not that...

If you want posh dont come here! I love this hotel but i also love Liberia. Who evers working in the morning will wake...

After reading the Tripadvisor reviews, I was reluctant to stay here but with limited options decided to give it a go for a night. We were pleasantly surprised - the hotel is fine for a night or two. It is in a good location, close to McDonalds and Burger King. 2 blocks from the public bus station. We walked to...

clean, well maintained budget accomodations, dorms, super convenient location, baggage storage, pleasant service, excellent fresh squeezed jute de narange...adequate comidas, common areas, but OMG! the music, the karaoke, the late night bar cacophony, and the loud and long conversations of others guests morning and night unbearable. if you, like me, are noise averse, avoid thurs-sat here, or find hospedeja by...

For around 25$ a night (12000 colones if you book online), it is ok. Right at the bus station, staff very friendly and speak English, which is RARE in Liberia, clean. Rooms very basics, but location convenient and we got good info on how to get where we were going.

It was our first night staying in Costa Rica and we needed a cheap location in Liberia. A double bed for the two of us was $20 USD which seemed like a pretty good deal, the room was alright. Small and a bit buggy (not bed bugs, but random other flies etc) There was no a/c but a fan mounted...

“The rooms facing the trees were awesome, you could see the monkeys in the trees and it was far enough away from the entertainment.”

“Do not stay in the Jungle room as you will hear the monkeys all night if you are a light sleeper. There was three of us Adults staying in a room and we asked to have a family room which was one king bed and a double, other than that you will get a room with two double beds stuck together. Make sure your patio door is closed tight in order for the A/C to work. Ocean view is always the best!”
