I stayed at Hotel Rio Perlas with a large group of people. Staff were welcoming and kind upon check-in and check-out. Dining staff were attentive, but not overly friendly and welcoming. Food was ok. Rooms are a bit dated, but clean. I didn't get the chance to swim in the hot springs pool, but I did walk around the lovely...

A+ Rio Perlas was a dreamy escape from the touristic costa rica. A genuine down to earth charm that is truly unique. The mission architecture mixed with Tiko folk lure captures something special and the hot spring fed swimming pool offers a cure for whatever ails you. You can't help but feel the vibrant life of the nature that surrounds...

Stayed at Rio Perlas 4/14-4/18. The resort has gorgeous landscaping. The surrounding trails provided very relaxing walks. We stayed in room 138. It was clean and the bathroom worked well. The staff is wonderful! This is a great place if you want to escape and relax.

My husband and I arrived on April 1, it took us 3 hours to drive from San Jose airport because internet map sent us in another direction. We stayed in one of the cabins. I did not realize that each cabin was 2 rooms put together. 2 of the nights we had families in the attached room and they were...

This resort has poor food, weak to absent WiFi, dilapidated bath rooms, only like warm water to shower, the swimming pools are out-of-order except for the "hot" spring pool, that was luke warm. On the positive side: Very friendly and helpful staff, property is surrounded by stunningly beautiful and well maintained gardens, has a creek, water falls, lakes with trouts....

I spent a day with my GF's family at the weekend. It is a really nice place, it has a river going through it, and there is a lot of flora. Food was ok, it is neighter the best nor the worst. Supoustly the hotel has a hot spring water pool, however it wasn't hot enough but warm (colder than...

The only thing five star here is the nature surrounding this place. We left our cell phone in the courtesy car. It was stolen. Our last day we forgot a couple of items in our room. Gone, supposedly they grew legs and left on their own. the decor of the suites, could compare to a cheap motel. Don't expect much...

We stayed there in August for 1 night, we got a Yuplon. The room was large, and private. The food was delicious. In the other hand the hotel needs maintenance. The cold water pool was not working, it was a shame because it's a large pool. So, everybody on that weekend were on the hot water pool, which is not...

Beautiful nature resort in mountains of Costa Rica 25 miles from San Jose near original capital.Great hot pool feed by spring waters. Wonderful personal and restaurant. Drove thru beautiful small Tico towns and found fishing camp where we caught our trout & it was cooked for the best meal of my vacation.
