At first glance the place is amazing. Large, beautifully maintained grounds. You sit on the patio and can think you are the only people around, quite relaxing. But the place was built to look good rather than be a practical hotel. Horrible lighting in the room - makes reading in bed or using the coffee maker a challenge . There...

I went on a 9 day tour to Costa Rica with Caravan.com which could not have been better. This was my favorite hotel with casitas, volcano views, birding (saw Toucans, and other colorful birds) heard howler monkeys, saw a crockodile , fantastic pools and spa and good food and drinks. My favorite was the colorful landscaping-flowers everywhere and bright plants.

Stayed 2 nights in September. The rooms were clean and spacious. Wireless service a bit flaky (plenty of other things to do though). The view from my porch was straight towards the volcano, but was mostly obscured by the beautiful landscaping on the property (room 131). Surprised to fins a plant rooted in the bathroom! Awesome view from pool and...

We had booked for 3 nights and ended up staying an extra night. Beautiful room, patio and awesome view of Arenal Volcano. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed both pools, jacuzzis and swim up bars! The rooms are roomy and clean. Only comments are that their happy hours at the pools were at odd times, and a microwave would...

This was one of the most beautiful settings I have ever seen for a hotel. Don't let the word "hotel" fool you. It is individual units set in lush tropical surroundings. You like feel you are staying in paradise! The pools, food and people were outstanding.

We've been around CR for 20 days in several different hotels, in the higher middel classe, wich all had something called atmosfere and ambiance. I totally missed that in Manoa. It looked like an residential area, 200 exact the same houses, breakfast overcooked, and most shocking: if you are too tired to walk to the pool you can call to...

We really enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful rooms and great grounds. We also really enjoyed the front desk staff. Free use of thermal hot spring pool, room with a beautiful view, prompt shuttle bus service to the restaurant, quiet and peaceful setting, worth the stay. Food in the hotel restaurant was good.
