Stayed in unit #209. View was spectacular. Decor is a bit dated and the beds are hard. Great breakfast is included, Costa Rican style or American, also, great, great views of Arenal Volcan. Natural hot springs on site as well as a regular pool for guests. Gated community. Units are duplex style, 2 attached. It's a bit confusing to drive around, everything is actually walking distance. Staff were all great and friendly. Alexander, the manager, even picked me up to show me where the Hot Springs were located. They have a full bar there as well with food available to purchase. Thanks for the lovely stay!

Hotel Manoa is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at! Beautiful, luscious grounds that are well-maintained, friendly staff, large pool and Hot Springs area, great breakfast and dinner options at a restaurant with a view. We had a premium room and Arenal was right in front of us every morning. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Service was very good, food was good to very good, the grounds of the property were fantastic, as good or better than nearly all places I've been to . But the rooms were the lagging category, particularly the beds, which were not comfortable. Maybe we were in an older room (240) but upgrade the rooms a bit and you have a solid 4 to 4.5 star property. The natural beauty is really tough to match. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and had dinner at the pool one night which was good bar food and pizza another night at the restaurant which we enjoyed. I'm not a big flan person, but I had it with every meal at different places in Costa Rica and I thought this restaurant's flan was easily the best.

Room Tip: Room 240 does not have a view of Mt Arenal. If you have walking problems I'd get something...

I booked a trip through JetSet Vacations and one of the included hotels on the trip was Hotel Arenal Manoa and we were stunned by the beauty of this hotel from start to finish. Although most of the time the volcano was foggy and could not be visualized well, the grounds are absolutely breathtaking and very well taken care of. Breakfast was included in our package and every morning was better than the last. We spent time at both pool bars. The larger of the two (which is not a hot springs pool) had a brick oven pizzeria and a beautiful view of the volcano behind it. The hot springs pool, located closer to the lobby but walkable from any area of the hotel grounds, was really our favorite part. The warm water at night with the swim up bar seats was just incredible, and the bartenders were so friendly and accommodating. The room views also gave us the view of the volcano and the housekeeping staff was just incredible, providing us with extra blankets and making animals out of the blankets and towels every morning. We did not have lunch or dinner at the hotel as we had a rental car and there’s a lot of reliable restaurants within a 10 minute drive from the hotel, but if breakfast was any guess, lunch and dinner here are probably just as phenomenal. Highly recommend this cute private beautiful hotel if you’re staying in the Arenal area.
