We had moved here from another hotel, was the best decision we had made this trip. The staff here is very friendly, they speak English so they can help you get around and support your visit. The rooms are super cute, clean and pretty new construction. Hot water (which is not so obvious here apparently), clean towels and the cheery on top is the beautiful garden and pool/jacuzzi area. Close to everything you need, you can walk to many restaurants and supermarkets. We had the best time, thank you for helping us with the cutting board and salad bowl:))))
Villas Vilma is a nice place to stay. The rooms are clean. The grounds are beautiful. The reception staff are very very friendly and informative. They were helpful in booking tours and providing information about local resources. Older buildings, but well kept. Great value!
It was a few years back that we stayed at Hotel Villas Vilma. The grounds are beautiful mancured and designed like a arboretum. The desk folks were almost unaprochable until check out . Then I got a big smile and a warm goodby so i would write a good review, So I didn't write a revue until now. There is a bus on the adjacent arterial that will take you to lake Arenal but the desk would not explain much about it, I loved the fact the mornings are cool enough for a nice long walk and every afternoon at about four PM ther is a drenching rain to cool everything off. Warning Lake Arenal is real hot midday and there were some sketchy folks around wich is sort of cool. The public park below the Volcano should not be missed do ask about it. The units are nice and colorful and the pool and hot tub are nice. Surronding eats were not much to write home about. The place is ideal for kids.I could live there all year round not like the beach wich zaps my energy,…
We really enjoyed our stay here. Comfortable room, very helpful staff, and lovely grounds. We booked through airbnb. Enjoyed the pool area and little patio outside our room. We didn’t eat at the neighbouring breakfast place as we had early tours so we just made our own coffee in the provided coffee maker and had breakfast on the patio outside our room (which had a lovely view of Arenal)! Takes about 30 mins to walk into the main part of La Fortuna, though there is a path alongside the road you can walk on. We sometimes ate at the nearby restaurants and sometimes walked into town. Would stay here again!
There are 6 apartments devided over 3 buildings. Alle very new, clean an spacious, the stucture is built so that it is not sound proof. We could hear the neighbors talking in the next appartment. The lady who welcomed us after we checked in next door at Tucan villas was very friendly and helpful. Even called for reservations for us at local attractions. The huge yard looks unkempt but if you look closing it is quit lovely with differs fruit trees and flowers. Al in al, the ambiance lacked a little but for the rest is was a nice place to stay for a few days.
