We stayed here in a tent room. The hostel is nice with a very good set up. The pool, hammocks, restaurant and bar are all centrally located and the area becomes a great place to relax between tours and meals and meet other travellers. A great atmosphere with good music playing throughout the day. The shared showers and washrooms are...

The place was clean and well maintained, especially liked the hammocks and the lounge. The town is a short walk away and is easy to get to. The rooms are basic and have lockers. The staff aren't the most helpful and don't seem interested helping the guests. There are plenty of cheaper places in town to organise trips in to...

We went on the off season, so not too many people, so noise was just like any hostel, but they turned the music off at 11(12 at the latest) every night. The location was good, walking distance to everything. Our tent was a double bed, in the middle of all the other tents and it was fine except for the...

We stayed in a tent, this was wonderful for a private couples getaway. Bathrooms and showers were extremely clean and good with hot water. Had everything we needed readily available. The front desk staff was very helpful and had plenty of insite into what to do in the local area on either a tour or going yourself and how to...

We stayed in a private double room for 3 nights. The room was spacious and had a view of the volcano, just fantastic but the furniture is quite old. I wouldn't call it a 5 star hostel. The safe and hot water didn't work, but that's details. The hostel area is really nice, a nice pool, bar, hammocks in the...

Second stay for me at this place. Good location. Good rooms. Good bar. Love the poolarea. Nice garden with hammocks. Easy to book excursions at the hotel. Shuttle service available. One day a sloth came climbing in over the fence. Great value for money.

Quite a nice stay, lovely pool. Stayed in a tent which was a bit cramped for two people. (It did specify the tent was for one person) however the bookings system made it very difficult to book two people for a tent. Good location. Staff helpful, not overly friendly but certainly knowledgeable. Lots of young American people stayed here while...

This was the first place my friend and I stayed during our backpack trip through Costa Rica - the drive here from the airport was not good...very twisty and turny roads and a great way to feel car sick :) When we arrived we arrived we were supposed to be in a mixed dorm but we were exhausted from the...

I really enjoyed our stay here. Arenal is such an amazing place to spend your vacation. We stayed in a private room with incredible volcano views! Overall the room was great. It was clean, quiet and safe. It's in a great location. Walking distance from a variety of things to do. We met a lot of fellow travelers from all...

I admit, I saw the pool and price and got sucked it. Its clean and nice, but for a backpacker it really didn't do it for me. Your just another gringo passing through, not personal at all. After day two I really started to hate the staff. I stayed one night in a private room where the safe and ac...
