We enjoyed our stay at the San Bosco Inn so much, we ended up coming back there for our last night in La Fortuna. It's located in a central location in town, perfect for going out to explore. The best part was the access to their other property which had a phenomenal pool/patio and thermal hot springs area. We were welcomed warmly by the staff and just had to show our armbands we had been given. It was optional to order drinks and food and there was no pressure. The rooms were clean and quiet, and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. We felt like we were getting the best deal for what we paid!! Would highly recommend this as a great economical option to stay and enjoy the beautiful thermal hot springs of the Arenal Volcano!
Enjoyed a hotel in town yet far enough away from the strip to not have much road noise. I liked that walking access to downtown in the evening. As others have said, I daily used the hot springs at their sister hotel up the mountain so it was the best of both. Light could not be shut out of my room but I am an early riser so that was OK. I could hear the room next door if the television or occupants were loud.
Very basic simply decorated room located close to the town centre. No real positive points but a good base to explore the local area. Small swimming pool and on site parking. Simple breakfast and reasonable bed and shower.
We chose San Bosco Inn so that we could go out to their sister property and enjoy the hot springs. It was all perfect. There was a happy hour at Volcano Lodge that made it all the more enjoyable and we had a good (though expensive) dinner out there in their restaurant. Although we didn't have a car, it was affordable to get out there and back via Uber. Being in town makes this hotel close to all the best restaurants in La Fortuna. We also enjoyed the pool that was at San Bosco Inn and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Everything seemed very clean and all the staff we interacted with were kind and professional. Great place!
This hotel is right in the town so quite noisy. The pool is largish and pleasant. The rooms are adequate but the whole feel is of a motel. I wished we had stayed in one of the many hotels outside the town instead where there might gave been views of something other than the parked vehicles and road.
