The cabins had a great outdoorsy feel and felt like you were in the rainforest, with nice little balconies in the back. Howler monkeys could be heard early in the morning. The view of Arenal volcano can't be beat. We were told if it was too foggy we might not be able to see it, and for most of the...

The view of the volcano from this hotel is really unbeatable. Our room was comfortable and pretty nice. It was great to wake up to the birds outside. The hot springs were fun too, but get there a little earlier in the evening to stake out your best spot. Breakfast was good too - lots of options. My only suggestion...

The grounds were gorgeous and the rooms were very attractive and clean. The service was fair and the staff somewhat standoffish. I loved the 7 hot springs. The top spring was the hottest and as you went down the hill the pools got cooler and cooler. The pool was nice with a swim up bar. Many birds and animals around....

The rooms are in bad need of renovations. Real old school 70's feel. Nice view of the volcano though. There are a lot of newer options to consider in the Arenal area.

Cabins with Costa Rican rocking chairs on the front porch offer perfect views of the volcano. The resort is not new, but is well-maintained and has an excellent restuarant, with hot breakfast included with room price, and good Costa Rican coffee provided with coffee makers in each room. TV and phone service were good in the room, but internet is...

My wife and I have visited Costa Rica many times, this was our first visit to Arenal Paraiso. We visited the third week in March, it was about a 3 hour drive from San Jose. The check-in was fine, our reservations were there and our room assigned quickly. The room was very good, two twin beds, clean and a good...

We stayed there on Feb 12 for 3 nights, our room 208 fantastic view of the volcano. We travel in a group (28) Senior Tours Canada....I did not hear any complaints from any member. Breakfast good variety of food, dinner for Valentines was great with live music. The gardens were spectacular on the property and the hot springs looked inviting...

This is a stylish and comfortable lodge with magnificent views of the active Arenal Volcano from cabin rooms. Rustic wood style. Our cabin-like room with 2 porches (one in front and one in back) with neat rocking chairs had a view of the volcano and a forest in the back that you could hear howler monkeys and see magnificent birds...

Good view of the cone shaped Arenal volcano and the rain forest. Good base for visiting La Fortuna and the Arenal areas. Nice hot springs with at least 10 thermal pools which are maintained and cleansed often. After a long day may indulge in spa then eat at their nice restaurant with excellent cut of beef grilled perfectly to your...

Our room was a complete dump. Our toilet would flush when the adjoining room's toilet flushed. There were ants all over the room and the furniture was so destroyed, the drawers wouldn't even shut. I wouldn't give this furniture to a student going off to college. The bed and bedding was cheap. Even though the hot springs at the hotel...
