<our first experience in Costa Rica. Hotel has a beautiful setting on slopes of mT Arenal. lots to do right there: zip line, small nature area with butterful cage, frog cage, crocodiles etc. and very nice pools, both natural and thermal. The grounds were immaculate and the staff very welcoming. The hotel is on the side of a mountain, so...

This is a huge and beautiful resort - so many things to see & do - pools, animals, trails... I'm guessing (given some of the things said during check in) that the rooms are undergoing renovations, but our room clearly had not been updated since 1980 something. It was completely serviceable and clean, and in reality we didn't spend much...

The rooms were large and clean. We had one day of the power being inconsistent (on for a bit, off for a bit all day). The variety of pools an pool temperature was amazing. Loved the hydro massage. The animal walk was quaint. The gardens beautiful. Many lizards spotted. I enjoyed our stay.

We were really looking forward to this resort but found it more theme park than spa. It may be good for bus tours or families with kids but not for average adult travelers looking for authenticity, charm and real experiences. The gardens are beautiful but overly manicured. The pool area is large but like a big kiddie pool playground. There's...

Hotel has more than 9 thermal pools of varying size and temperatures. From the largest pool with swim up bar to small cave-like pools with built in loungers with jets, this is a place to relax and enjoy the scenery. Every room looks out on the Arenal Volcano. While it is covered by clouds 80% of the time, if you...

My husband and I and our two kids (9 and 7) stayed here for 2 nights. This place was fantastic. We stayed at Baldi the year before and loved it, but think that Los Lagos is a much better value. Food and drink and room costs are probably about half of what they are at Baldi. The room was very...

The grounds of this place are just as lush and magnificent as I've ever seen anywhere. The staff was absolutely great. They have gardens and wildlife in wonderful settings. The Ant Farm,a must see. This resort could have a five star rating, if it were to pay more attention to maintaneince. The bathroom was less than perfect. Broken tiles on the vanity, very slow...

We stayed for just two nights as part of a package. The rooms are massive with large balconies and beautifully fitted bathrooms spotlessly clean. This review is based on our two night experience. I would have loved to have stayed longer for the beautiful surroundings and pool but the one down side was the noise experienced in the rooms. Walls...

We were extremely impressed by the staff, especially Elana and Andrea, who are receptionists at Los Lagos. When we were not ready when our transportation arrived to bring us to our next destination because I accidentally reviewed an older itinerary that had us booked at the hotel for 3 nights, they quickly rebooked our travel plans for later that day....

The Los Lagos Resort is situated on a mountain side and the grounds are magnificent. We stayed for 3 nights in a 2 unit Casita at the farthest point from the main building. The room was fine with a single king bed. I have lots of electronics to charge plus I use a CPAP only to find no outlets other...
