We live close enough, so, we only visited the restaurant for a date. It was absolutaly fantastic. The staff was incredibly attentive and the food was just perfect. The place is beatiful and charming, we plan to visit this place many more times!

This a really nice resort with wildlife abound. Close to the hot Springs, zip lining, hanging bridges and the Volcano. The resort had lots to offer with a river, pool, hot tub, butterfly house, sports venues, all housed in a very nicely landscaped setting. WE enjoyed sitting on our veranda, watching the birds, monkeys and other wildlife. Don't forget to... More

If you love peace and quiet, this place is for you. A former Country Club that was bought and adapted to your personal needs. Located on a river bank in which I saw a crocodile on my first visit there. There are indoor and outdoor tennis courts. I believe that there were about 10 courts. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Close... Me and my husband stayed here for 3 nights on our recent vacation to Costa Rica. We stayed in a junior suite with a river view and it was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable with all your basic necessities but the real reason to stay here is the beautiful grounds. The hotel is on acres and acres... More

Stayed here for a few nights during a work trip. Rooms were good size, a/c worked well when needed. It is located right on a river. There is a nice short walk through some tropical fruit trees. I didn't get to see the medicinal garden or butterfly garden but would be interesting. Food was fine and there is an abundance... More

This was a wonderful place, the employees were very nice. The room was very nice great view of the gardens and river. The breakfast buffet was very good. Nice little gift shop. Got to see crocs in the river. They also had a exercise room.

The Hotel Tilajari was a great stay--they have everything at the resort and the food was good (if you need a food escape, try the second floor of the cattle auction about 15-20 min walk...take a left out of the main entrance to the hotel, turn left at light, it is just past the gas station on the right). Staff... More

Tilajari is one of my favorite places in the world! It's not a 'resort' by modern standards, the rooms aren't new and the fixtures aren't shiny. But the entire space is a lovingly tended botanical garden. The outdoor dining pavilion is such a pleasant space, and the tiled pool and hot tub overlooking the river are an oasis of peace.... More

We stayed here for 7 nights as part of a tour. The service and the food were great . The rooms very comfortable. There was lots of wildlife in the gardens, sloths, snakes, including a boa constrictor, crocodiles down by the river, butterflies in the garden etc

We participated in an Ultimate Frisbee tournament hosted at the Hotel Tilajari. It was a great setting for this type of event. The rooms were very acceptable, for the price. Don't expect the Holiday Inn Express - this is Costa Rica. But the rooms were clean, the sheets acceptable and there were a few room perks (coffee maker, closet space).... More
