I would recommended this resort mainly to couples, lovers, honeymooners and all who wants get away to ascape from usual daily routine and stay in paradise on Earth surrounded by nature. This hotel is extremly romantic and it is without a doubt one of the unique hotels I have ever visited. Rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, have a large terrace with small swimming pool and view to nature. You will find comfort, privacy, friendly staff, great food and nature. The restaurant has a large telescope so we have seen a large number of diverse birds in the hotel. You will never bored and you will always want to come back to paradise. As we do.

From the moment we arrived and the lady at the gate knew our names, we were in love with this intimate and secluded resort. Everything was perfect, the rooms are fantastic and the amenities, food, service, spa, and even on-site hiking were all incredible. We will fly back to Costa Rica for the sole purpose of spending more time at Amor Arenal!

We stayed three nights over Valentine’s Day weekend. The property is accessed via a steeply sloping roadway. You must pass through security to enter the grounds. Check in is done at the open air reception area and was prompt and informative. We had villa #4 which is a great location close to the restaurant, gym and pools. #1 is at the top of the hill and any villa numbered higher than 6 is downhill from the amenities. We were also told that villas 1 through 4 have the best views of Arenal volcano. Golf carts are used to move luggage and transport guests up and down the hill. The villas are large, nicely appointed and each has a deck and hot tub in the deck. Because of the location of the property, the views from the deck are of nature with no houses or other buildings to mar the view. The beds are very comfortable. And the large walk in shower was incredible! Service was attentive and all the staff were a pleasure to deal with. We especially enjoyed Enrique - who was our waiter for several meals and is also the sommelier. Breakfast is included with the room and is a very big production. After day 1 we asked for smaller portions and fewer items. We also had several dinners and found the food to be fresh, well prepared, and varied. The gym is large and has a variety of equipment - one of the best hotel gyms I’ve seen. The pools are on the small side but are nicely landscaped. The heated pool with swim up bar is very popular. We walked the easier of the two nature trails - it winds through the forest and along a creek. All in all a wonderful stay - a great hotel to enjoy and relax at. …

Friends of ours recommended this resort and right from the first phone all to the Marolin at Amor, I knew this was the real deal. We stayed in 3 other hotels in CR and they don’t even come close to the Amor experience. The rooms are truly incredible, with the shared spaces being equally as impressive. The highlight was the staff at Amor, its a true 5* operation. Marolin, Zaylin, Fabio and Oscar + the entire reception team- thank you. You made this an unforgettable engagement experience. T + Z
