Stayed here for 2 nights whilst we explored the volcanos, nice lodges and grounds with ceiling fan but no AC. Wifi in main lodge. Friendly staff and wholesome simple meals on evening and breakfast. Get up at dawn and find the bird feeder near the restaurant for a great wildlife show. This place is a few km from town so...

We came here on a group tour and stayed 3 days. It's OK but the rooms could be better. It's dark basic and worn. The food is good the bird table is a delight. The staff and garden are lovely. Quite a way from town.

There is a great view of the volcano from this hotel. There is not much to do at the hotel itself. There is a pool, hot tub, and a restaurant. However, you can take a $6 cab ride to La Fortuna where there are a bunch of restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops. The cab ride takes about ten minutes and...

A very simple, rustic place to stay while visiting the volcano.Little lighting in the rooms; weak showers. No air conditioning, just ceiling fans and screens, located on beautifully manicured grounds where every plant and tree is identified. The "lodge" is open air with high ceiling.Food is very simple. If you want a deluxe experience, this is not the place. If...

The menu is more limited at the restaurant than I wished for but a taxi ride to to town is only about $8.00 round trip. Breakfast was excellent and the food is really good at dinner and lunch. The staff is helpful and friendly! The grounds are beautiful and a true tropical paradise. The only down side is the lack...

The staff at Catarata was very nice and helpful. It seemed to be the local hang out for people on their way to work. The food was good and the view from the dining room was amazing! You could see the volcano from one of them and how many times do to get to eat while gazing on a volcano?...

Got a bit concerned about staying here after seeing some negative reviews, once I realized they were by French tourist I knew they were irrelevant. Me and my family enjoyed the setting, a lot of maintenance is done on the property daily. The location is ideal as you are not to close to town, so you will not hear buses...

The lodge has nice grounds and a friendly staff. We saw many birds and beautiful flowers. It was really hard to get any sleep with screeching kids and people carousing at all hours any of the three nights we stayed. If you're planning on staying here make sure you get a room in the periphery if you are early to...

This hotel is set back from the main resort but in a great location for visiting the volcanos! The setting is so relaxing in wonderful gardens and it has a relaxing pool area. The rooms as comfortable in bungalow style houses. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Near the Arenal Volcano National Park and Fortuna waterfalls. Good pool and good breakfast. Also close to the city. Just right. A great reference point to visit the Arenal Volcano and surrounding areas.
