Absolutely love this place. The scenery can't be beat. Beautiful waterfalls on the property. The fleet mignon is probably one of the best I've ever had. Three pools. Beautiful landscaping. The people here are very friendly. The rooms are spacious with views of San Jose below. A shower that feels like you are outdoors. No TV, BB it nonetheless restful....

5 nights gave us the opportunity to savour the grounds of this well placed hotel overlooking the San Jose valley. Our villa (No.24) was SO private including the balcony overlooking the gardens one could have sunbathed and avoided tan lines with no fear of being seen !!! Even the shower led on to totally private gardens. The glass doors could...

After traveling all over Costa Rica, experiencing horseback riding, whitewater rafting, zip lines, beach and mountain hikes we were hoping to wind down before flying home. Xandari hit the spot. It was everything we wanted and more. The entrance looked inviting, the road leading up to the reception area was spectacular. My wife and I were blown away and we...

Xandari is very very special. The gardens, art and architecture combine to make this place feel like another world...an eden. They have 10 gardeners on staff and it shows. The views from the restaurant and every room are beautiful...even at night when the town below lights up. The staff was so friendly. Especially Matilde and Ronaldo who took an interest...

Looks better in pictures. Large room but facilities are minimal. Small, non-atmospheric lobby bar. Hotel is seriously understaffed. Bartender was simultaneously making drinks, busing plates and trying to fix the wifi. Food in restaurant only average. Expensive for what you get.

Relaxation is the order of the day at this beautiful hotel. We were at the hotel for a single night only but were impressed with the cleanliness, quiet, competent and courteous staff and delicious food. There is intentionally a lack of on grounds activities outside of walking the trails and swimming in the 3 pools. The hotel was designed and...

I stayed at Xandari Resort for seven days in September 2016 during their rainy season. It rained everyday around midday for about an hour. It was just enough time to take a siesta.
