We loved the peaceful, beautifully landscaped property and felt like we were the only ones there. The casita was immaculate and we greatly appreciated the staff's help in having a rental car delivered to the property. We enjoyed visiting Alajuela and Territorio de Zaguates which were not far from this lovely property.

Staying at Tacacori was a wonderful start into our trip to Costa Rica. Having breakfast on the sunny porch after a restful night in the modern and nicely decorated rooms was amazing. The lodge is located ideally on a mountain above Alajuela, so much better air and about 45 minutes to the volcano Poas. Since the volcano was all in...

My wife and I had a wonderful evening and breakfast at this Ecolodge. Given our concern for the Costa Rican environment, we were very pleased with the focus on sustainability at this EcoLodge. The rooms were pleasant and comfortable. You are largely immersed in the forest, but it is completely accessible. The small on-site cafe where we ate breakfast was...

We arrived in mid afternoon after travelling, and immediately felt the peace, and the kind and considerate welcome from our host, Nadine. A great breakfast with lots of fresh tropical fruit and good coffee, and so much to enjoy in the garden, and a restful very clean room and veranda. Nadine was unforgettably generous with her time, helping us to...

One of the most charming EcoLodges I have ever stayed in! Highly recommend this place for the following reasons: 1. It's an oasis of calm and beauty, 20 minute drive from the airport. Gorgeous garden and well appointed bungalows that offer guests a tranquil setting. 2. Bungalows are spacious, beautifully designed and beds are very comfortable. Washroom is large, and...

It was like our own little world. Nice room and bathroom but it was the private patio and yard that made it like it's own little world. Very nice breakfast. Only negative was no wash clothes. Very safe and quiet. Great first night in country.

Average at best. We had the cabin farthest from the main house. There were several things not up to par. The first being the room was very dusty/dirty. There were cobwebs all over the ceiling fan and bugs in the light fixture. I know it's Costa Rica and bugs are expected (and work fast to make cobwebs) but when we...

This small eco compound enroute to the Doka Coffee estate and outside of downtown Alajuela is a beautiful haven. Back to nature! You will have to be on your own for dinner and there is no TV. Breakfast is wonderful and your hosts Nadine and Juliette are wonderful.

Really lovely place - feels like staying in a botanic gardens. The only place in Costa Rica we stayed in that had a coffee maker with proper coffee in the bedroom ! The first time you arrive, you need to give them a call when you're at the entrance gate, so they can let you in. After that, you get...

Only 4 casitas - on this beautiful lodge. It seems like no one ever says anything bad about anything around here.... We read great reviews about Buena Vista which was more expensive and great review about this lodge. We stopped at Buena Vista first and it was just OK. Sort of older building, the rooms had carpets and smelled musty,...
