Since we had an early flight out of SJO, we needed to spend the night near the airport. The reviews for Alegria were amazing so we decided to try it out. The reviews are all accurate, this is a GREAT place to stay! George was so welcoming, helping us confirm flights, recommending a great local place to eat a short...

My partner and I stayed with George our first night in Costa Rica before catching a bus the next day to the Caribbean Coast. When we first arrived at the airport, my partner and I were talking to a cab driver when we were surprised to see that George was waiting for us to take us back to his B&B....

This was a great place to start and finish our trip to Costa Rica. George was extremely welcoming. The rooms were lovely and spacious and very comfortable. Our breakfast at the start of our trip was fresh and delicious. We had an early flight at the end of our trip and George packed us a breakfast to go and dropped...

In December we had a pleasure tu spend a couple of nights at Alegría. The house was great, very quiet, clean, and the best of all was the owner, George. Apart from baking very tasty blueberry muffins and banana bread, he is very social and a great person to talk to. We had all we had hoped for and more....

We stayed at Alegria on our first and last nights in Costa Rica. It is conveniently located close to the airport and George was kind enough to pick us up upon arrival and drive us to the airport on the morning of our flight home. George is a friendly and kind host who made us feel right at home. Before...

George owns the B&B and provides a fine breakfast and is very hospitable. We stayed there twice during our trip, and his location is a good base for activities in the San Jose area. He offered a wealth of suggestions about places to eat and had an excellent map with the location of a great English language bookstore. (There are...

Our flight arrived late in the evening (~1130pm) so we arranged to stay at Alegria for the night (our only reservation for the trip) and then continue or travels the next day. George picked us up at the airport and brought us to his lovely bed and breakfast. It was a quick drive from the airport, but at the same...

We were greeted by George with a big sign standing in the middle of the window right at the airport exit. He had our name and Alegria on a sign. Easy to find him. He was very pleasant and was a great host. We dropped off our luggage and he took us with him to the farmer's market. What an...
