It's a 3.5 stars level hotel. the decoration, rooms, service are just normal, everything is fine; but they have a swimming pool, club house, ballrooms, 1 hotpot, 1 Chinese restaurant, 1 bar, massage service...etc. The location actually is quite good, 15mins taxi to Hongqiao Airport, but the district is so quite cause it's actually in a residential area. Finally, the...

Stayed at the hotel (building 1, 6th floor) for five nights and I am quite happy with the experience. The bed is good, the noise level is okey, the surfaces in the bathroom are clean and not degraded. The room keeping is flawless, even after I hanged a do not disturb sign on the door one morning. The breakfast includes...

I've stayed at this hotel several times in the past and nothing has changed. TV now has been upgraded but doesn't get many channels...BBC is about it in English, when you get it. Still noisy as the latches in the windows are not working. AC works in some rooms, many does not. I changed rooms 3 times and still had...

I have stayed at the Haiyatt multiple times so far on business trips to Shanghai, the latest being in Apr 2014. Welcome fruits are always provided on day of check-in & 2 complimentary half-liter water bottles were also provided everyday during my recent trip!!. We stayed at the hotel for two days. The first thing we noticed was that it was very dark in the corridors since most of the lights in the corridors had been switched off. In addition, the rooms we got were quite dark since they didn't have any windows. There were also 4 bottles of water on the desks in...

This hotel is a business area of Shanghai that is located well if your office or meetings are nearby. The hotel needs renovation and the bar area is a rip off. The staff in the bar area does is not bilingual and the drinks are extremely costly. The atmosphere is awful. The water pressure is very low in the showers.

Stayed here from 9-14 Dec'13 for business trip as my company is just a stone throw away. No complaint really, as I only came back to spent the night after a whole day work. 1. Clean and well maintained hotel 2. Quiet, yet near to a lot of amenities - convenient stores, restaurants, cafes, Starbucks, and a walking distance to...

Though i know this, not everyone i know had realised - this is not a Hyatt hotel. Having stated the obvious though, i have stayed here frequently and for long stints. Hotel is a very decent compromise. The area has come a long way too. There is now a starbucks across the way, which is a godsend as the hotel...

I've stayed at this hotel before and now it seems it is going downhill. Spa is terrific. Western food is really pathetic for breakfast. No newspaper anywhere. Old TV's, air conditioning is set to 77 degrees and is hot, hot. Some speak English. WiFi in lobby, broadband in rooms so your ipad will not work in your room. No choice...

Staying in Gubei / Hongqiao / Minhang

Neighbourhood Profile
Gubei / Hongqiao / Minhang
West of Shanghai’s better-known business, cultural and entertainment centers, lies an expansive area of residential neighborhoods peppered with lifestyle pockets that have their own unique attractions. The schools have formed pockets of international communities throughout Gubei, Hongqiao and Minhang. Quite a few entertainment and shopping centers have built up over the years to cater to these communities. While living here means you are relatively far away from Shanghai’s usual hot spots, the large parks, spacious homes and proximity to great Japanese and Korean food keep the neighborhoods popular.
