Nice rooms, well equipped and in a good location just out of the CBD. Staff is friendly, even very good with foreigners. The continental breakfast features a variety of food both Asian and western. Very well received.

Booked a Family room for 6 nights for myself, my daughter, and her boyfriend. Having the extra bed was key. Having an actual bedroom was great. Having a kitchen with a real fridge/freezer and clothes washer/dryer was fantastic. It's close to a metro stop with 3 lines, so lots of access. We saved a few steps by cutting through the...

Great serviced apartment which is located within walking distance to major tourist attractions such as Peoples Square, the Bund, Nanjing Road pedestrian street. Room size was good enough for two people. We stayed in a studio room. Breakfast was good. Keep in mind they give one breakfast voucher per person per day. That was okay for us as we used...

Cannot compare this to a hotel because it was actually a one bedroom apartment which we shared with our adult son. The bedroom was large and our son slept on the pull-out couch in the living room. Both rooms had TVs so we were all able to get away from each other when we needed time alone. It was right...

Breakfast was ok, but it's in Shanghai. Food should never be an issue. The hotel staff gave me a really bad face and hard time over 2 bottles of mineral water, which are actually included in my payment. I paid over 800 rmb for a night there. The water cost maybe 2 rmb per bottle. When I asked for an...

This great value serviced apartment hotel is right next to the Marriott City Centre and People's Square. The People's Square metro is only a 5 minute walk, as is Nanjing Road pedestrian street. Our two bedroom apartment (about ¥1450 p/night) had everything we needed, with two full bathrooms, a queen bed and two singles. A rollaway can be requested if...

Unable to keep anything chilled after checking out if you are leaving your bags for a few hours. Basic English skills at the front desk. Very close to peoples square metro station but be sure to use...

Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
