Found the facility pretty organized, but price on a high end. The restaurant has quite a lot of options for breakfast. Location is great, as my work was just on the other side of the road. My room also had a great view of the Jing'An Temple. Anyone willing for shopping would also have access to brand shops, with handful...

The room is very spacious but it is smelly in the sense that whenever we come back to the room, there is a heavy smell of smoke as if there are a few persons smoking in the room for a period of time. Location is otherwise good. Service is generally good as well.

At the time of my visit, the entree was under renovation, which already was not a good impression. The front desk was very week in English language skills which made it difficult to book train tickets or to use other services. The rooms are classically furnished but smell bad. The breakfast is very local and Western food is rather limited....

I stayed at this newly renovated (2015) hotel for a business meeting in Shanghai, because of its western style room, amenities, and 5 min walk from Jiang'an subway station (Shanghai subway line no. 2). After exiting the closet subway station, entrance to the combined office and hotel bldg. can be hard to find, because the official (taxi) entrance is at...

If you want a 5 star hotel with 5 star service and 5 star food then this hotel is not for you; there are little quirks to overcome, yes the reception is located on the 12th floor, you do have to turn off Nanjing Road and go around the back of the building to find the ground floor doormen, if...

Superb location. Right In the middle of downtown. Next to Jing An Temple, Wheelock Square, Jing An Park and metro line is just down below the hotel. Rooms are clean comfortable and spacious. Wifi is good. Breakfast variety is just so so yet enough to satisfy me. Overall experience is good. Well recommend to all.

I just spent 6 nites at this hotel. I believe there is good and bad to say about my stay. Altho the staff is courteous and welcoming, they basically speak or understand No English. That was an issue for me. The room was quite nice and large with a great view of the city, and a lovely bathroom and shower....

The hotel offers a very good location for shopping in shanghai, close to metro and infrastructure. The rooms are spacious and clean. However I would rate it higher if the service that is pretty local would be better. English capabilities are rural and something like a proactivity is missing completely. The breakfast buffet has something for western visitors but the...

This hotel is placed in floors 12-20 of a building, so for getting in to the lobby, you have to go up for 12 floors! Most of the staff don't know English, but are kind and well behaving. Rooms are clean and nicely furnished. The location is great, and by crossing the street, you can get to the awesome subway of Shanghai!

Staying in Jing'an

Neighbourhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
