The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same
quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.

Horizon Club breakfast was only available in the lounge when I was there. I was first assigned to a Grand Premier room unlike what was pictured on the website. And when I requested a room with separate living and bedrooms, it took a while for them to arrange it (over an hour actually). The staff doesn’t seem to know how the rooms are described and pictured on the website. I’d contact them beforehand to confirm the room details.
