Good hotel. Clean rooms and with good space! They provide you 2 bottles of water a day which is good for walking around!
The breakfast is good with various options but less international ones.
I guess the most of this hotel is localization!
The service staff is rude and will give you excuses to everything that's not working in this hotel.
1. First of all there is no English name visible for this hotel. You wont know if you have come to the right place even when you...More

While there are technical borders to the area formerly governed by the French in Shanghai, the "French Concession" of today is an amorphous neighborhood that is a favorite of the city's foreign residents. While it is mostly within the Xuhui district, residents will sometimes include parts of Jing'an and Luwan in their mental maps of the Former French Concession. The area seems frozen in time, characterized by quiet,
tree-lined avenues, French-style villas, interesting boutiques, lively bars and quaint cafes that are not typical of China. All of these mix and mingle with local life as Chinese markets and lanehouse communities are peppered throughout. Denizens of the Former French Concession can spectate a mahjong game on the street or get their bike checked at a tiny bike repair store on the way to their refurbished apartment tucked away among Chinese family homes.

Hi Jackie, it is free to leave your luggage at concierge if you stayed at the hotel. It takes you 5 minutes by walk to the metro line 1 and 3 minutes by walk to the nearest city bus station. From metro line 10 also within walking distance. If you wish to visit somewhere, you can ask concierge for help. They can either call a taxi or book a car for you. if you wish to go to the maglev station by public transportation, you can take metro line 1 and get off at the Peoples Square, then change metro line 2 and get off at Long Yang Road Station where you can take maglev train. There is English broadcast and signage at the metro and maglev station so you wont miss it. In Shanghai, most of the bus has English indication but not all of them, again you can ask concierge to show you the way on map and write you notes in Chinese beforehand, it might help. Last but not least, a warm welcome to Shanghai and wish you a safe trip!
