I like the hotel but not so much, they don't have what they claim they have for the inroom dining menu and communication is hard with the stuff their English is quite poor and their burger is yacht baaad I didn't like one bite of...More
The hotel is at least one hour from central Shanghai, near the domestic airport (not the international airport). We were travelling as part of a tour group (Trip a Deal - fantastic value!) so usually staying out of downtown wasn't a problem because other hotels...More
Not only was our room superb, but the staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful and our dinner in the Chinese Restaurant second to none. Although the hotel is some distance from the centre of Shanghai this did not pose a problem for us.
Stayed 2 nights as part of a TripaDeal tour. A long way from the city of Shanghai but our coach was there to ferry us to and fro. The hotel room was very plush but for a rated 5 star hotel the room walls were...More

The hotel runs a free shuttle bus to Hongqiao airport. There is a railway station there where you can catch a train to Nanjing Street in the Bund. It takes around 45 minutes in the train. I didn't use this option though. We elected to stay in the city near the Bund and come out to the airport on the day of our flight. We stayed at the Internal Jinjiang Metropolo Hotel Classic Shanghai Bund. It is close by the Bund, only a couple of blocks away and a good hotel with reasonable pricing.
Another option is to use a taxi but it is around 75 minutes in a car to the city.
We also used China Highlights for a private transfer from the hotel to the airport. They are a travel company in China and have an excellent service. You will find them on google when you type in their name.
Hope this helps you.
