We loved our very spacious room. It would have been perfect if not for the stain on the couch. In all other respects the room was clean and comfortable. More than adequate bathroom with stall shower & tub ATM in lobby near reception desk. Lobby bar with full selection of drinks. Restaurant on 3rd floor where we enjoyed dinner one...

As mentioned before, this hotel is now named the LongMen Hollyear Hotel. It is clean, the breakfast offers anything you wish in a large dining area and the staff is responsive to your needs: however, I would recommend something closer to the Bund. The neighborhood around the train station is rather barren in terms of shopping and restaurants. The restaurants...

This property is now called the LongMen Hollyear Hotel. We stayed for two nights at the tail end of a tour of China. The hotel selection and booking was handled by our tour company. Location At the outer edge of central Shanghai, next to the train station but far from any attractions. If you're taking the train (not the airport...

The hotel could be great. It gives hints of elegance. The room has crown molding on the ceiling, mahogany shelves, marble counters in the bathroom and beautiful furniture. That said the upkeep of the room is very poor as evienced by wallpaper starting to peel, the refrigerator had food and dirt encrusted in it, the carpets were warn with stains...

Our room overlooked the Shanghai train station, making train and taxi travel easy. Meals were excellent. Rooms were comfortable and well serviced. Never noticed road noise. Bed was "Chinese" firm. We'd come back.

Again 2nd time in China trip, I felt I was sleeping on a Box spring, and no matress. Room was very big with lots of amenties, mini-bar, Electric kettle...

We stayed 2 nights at the end of a China tour and had another two nights added on before flying home. The room was large and clean, the bed as firm as the carpet but all the beds in China we experienced were like this. (it actually worked out well for our backs). After two days we were independent travelers,...

I was on the 7th floor and the road noise was horrible but my bed was comfortable, my parents were on the 15th floor and it was quiet but the bed was the typical hard Chinese style. I don't think anyone in China uses carpet cleaners because all hotels had really dirty (so dirty they were discolored) carpets. The breakfast...

This room was huge with a couch and several chairs. The bathroom was very modern with both a tub and separate shower. Breakfast was good and they cooked eggs to order. Great location, but taxis were very cheap. Had 1 hour foot massage for about $20 and was awesome!!!

The bed was hard, but I had already read...

“Make sure you ask for a soft bed, the two bed rooms seem to have them and the Kingsize rooms don't. I would suggest if there are two of you, that you leave your bags at the reception and one goes and checks the bed, if your not happy ask for a change.”
