People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.

The hotel had modern rooms and was in a good location to walk to the river and shopping street. The breakfast was the best I have had in China. Excellent selection of western and Chinese food. Can recommend.

Stayed here for 3 nights. My friend booked it, so I didn't actually pick it. Unlike the hotel in Beijing, most of the staff here dont smile or greet customers. In fact, what made me wrote this review was the encounter I had this morning before we were checking out. I asked

From train station either Line10 Yuyuan Garden station or Line8 Dashijie to hotel take about 10 min on foot. And from hotel to Shanghai Disneyland Park Line11 would take approximate 50min to 1 hour similar to Pudong Airport to Campanile Hotel Shanghai. With great train system you will find it is very easy to move around Shanghai for sure. Enjoy your time there!

I don't recall having to pay a deposit, since I booked prepaid. If there was, it was less than 200 RMB.

Hi, the Yuyuan garden metro station is nearest, less than 5-10 minutes walk. Nanjing road station is also not far away. It´s quite a long way to Pudong airport, we took a taxi, which took almost an hour - but the time required depends on the traffic a lot.

If you are going on a weekday morning, traffic will be very bad and it will take around 1 hr 15 minutes by taxi and can change depending on the traffic that day. I would suggest to take the subway which will take 1 hr 20 mins and cheaper with a 1-day pass (Line 8 to Line 1 to Line5)
