Our two families (including two 14 year olds) rented Reef house for one week in July. What a great place to stay. Mololo Lailai is a great place for active people as its large enough to go for a long walk/run and there are plenty of snorkelling/diving/water sports and cultural activities for everyone at nearby Musket cove. I recommend the family of 4 white card for activities. Reef house was our quiet escape. The house was clean, comfortable and very homey and in a beautiful location. The bikes were really helpful with 6 busy people doing triathlons around the island every day. Kitchen had everything you need to russle up basic quick meals if you want to cook - we only ate out once. There is a well stocked supermarket and we managed to get fresh fish on the island. Vukei is a wonderful housekeeper and we loved spending a little time with her. Recommend Reef house to a group who don't need a white sparkley kitchen, pool, tv, wifi from house, lots of people around and who are active.

Rented house for two weeks over Christmas- New Year 2016/17. Comfortable, spacious living areas. Ensuite bathroom has been renovated but main bathroom was not well maintained or clean. Dodgy light fitting and wiring in the shower but wasn't attended to after we expressed our concern to Musket Cove Resort soon after arrival.
Kitchen was adequate but pans and utensils need a thorough appraisal for usefulness.
One of our party had to sleep in a room without an operating fan or air conditioning. The inoperable fan was mentioned to Musket Cove Resort on more than one occasion but no action was forthcoming.
Mosquitos were a major nuisance in the Reef House grounds. Evenings were spent inside unless individuals had a thorough application of repellent.
Cycles are provided by Reef House and are extremely useful when travelling around the island. These were not in good running condition but after some basic cycle maintenance (tyres repaired, brakes adjusted and oil on chains) they served the purpose.
Clean fresh drinking water was available from an outside tank.
Taking all the above comments into account We had a wonderful family holiday on a spectacular tropical island.

Our extended family holiday was fantastic. Nan had always wanted to visit a Pacific Island and this was a perfect place to spend our 10 days. Reef House catered well for 3 separate family members, was very comfortable and an easy place to stay. We enjoyed being part of the resort but also enjoyed our space and privacy. The Island was very friendly and there were plenty of activities to do if you wished.

Our family of 6 adults stayed for 7 night in October. The house itself is an older style type bungalow. We never ate any meals at the house insteed choosing to dine at the resort for all ours. The kitchen is fully equiped but for me a holiday is not cooking. The house for us was a place to sleep and then we were gone for most of the day either at the resort pool or doing activities. The best part for us was the use of the push bikes. We rode everywhere all day and thanks to James the handy man they were in perfect working order. Even the older bikes held up to the big guys riding them. We had several issues while we were there but were able to contact Amy the owner and have them rectified. Just remember everything is done on Fiji time so may take a while. All in all we had a fabulous time as this was our 4th trip to Fiji but the first to Musket Cove. Weather was perfect as well.

Reef House is an ideal Fijian holiday experience. The house itself is an older style all wood house with a lovely verandah that overlooks a nice garden were our kids happily played. You can easily access some nearby reef that at full tide is a nice place to explore and feed bread to fish, which the kids loved doing. Kitchen is basic but adequate. BBQ on verandah is fantastic for cooking up fresh fish. The house maid and garden hand are the nicest people you could hope meet and give you true Fijian hospitality.
Only 10 minutes walk away is the Musket Cove Resort where you can make use of their pool and restaurants. It's a nice balance.
Grant the owner is also really helpful in providing I go and logistics on getting to the island etc.
There is no wifi and the TV only has one channel and the DVD player doesn't work. But if these things bother you you've come to the wrong place. Fiji is a place to simply yourself and appreciate nature.
We'll be back for sure
