Beautiful hotel near the Carnival Cruise Terminal. Great resturants and local shops nearby. Steps away from the Convention Center. Amazing views from the rooftop pool and garden. Great breakfast buffett.
Even though this is a historic hotel it has all the modern amities. My room was very spacious and inviting. I would really enjoy bringing my wife back for a visit. The staff was very nice as well. The lobby had a very ornate atrium.

Well there is a coffee house corner to the Battle House so you can have something small to eat and drink there. There is A Spot of Tea at 310 Dauphin street which has Breakfast in a Historic setting and there is Bob's Dowtown Restaurant which is a diner that serves breakfast. Those are your best suggestions for something close without having to leave downtown.
