Me and my wife both of us separately booked 2 Deluxe Twin Room as I booked earlier and she booked later for her parents and when check-in at 2.30pm, the Indian staff attended to us, try to arrange both rooms to be in the same floor and after making the payment, she will contact us. We then went out and back to the hotel at 3.30pm and noticed that Indian staff is not there and she didn't contact us yet. Then we decides to check with another staff informed us the room still not available, this is not good as we already waited for 1 hour and there is some customer already got their room. Finally we were offered Family Suite which we take it. Also then gym stated below 16 years old and without proper gym attire is allowed to enter but yet there is some parents bring young kids to the gym and most of the kids and adults is not wearing proper gym attire, eg, slippers. The air con in 2 of the rooms in the Family Suite unable to adjust the temperature.

It was for just a night with late arrival and early departure. Thus, we had very limited experience. However, I was very impressed with their personnel by the name of Miranda whom I believe was an operator. I emailed the hotel prior to our arrival to ask for a frontal valet parking which I read is limited and First Come First Serve. My friend who just arrived from Australia was on crutches since she just had a major thigh and back surgeries, thus it’s bad if we have to walk from the carpark. Furthermore we would be arriving quite late in the evening and I didn’t fancy dropping off my friend and being a woman, finding my own way from the unfamiliar carpark. Miranda called me up and informed she would ask the valet to reserve a spot for my car. I really appreciate this. Upon arrival the spot was indeed reserved for us. Check-in was quick and all our special requests were met. The only thing is the receptionist wasn’t clear in answering my question re the river cruise jetty. When I asked it’s whereabouts she just pointed. We went out looking for it (I read it was just 3 min walk away). When I couldn’t find I returned to Front Desk to clarify. Only to find out the nearest jetty no longer in operation and we would need to drive to another jetty. Room was very comfortable. Love the balcony with the view of the river. Great aircond. However, the room lacks lighting over the luggage area. Too dark to see anything. Breakfast was adequate for the price.

Given this is a 4 star hotel with a high rating, we had a bad experience during our two night stay. First day when we checked in, we found there was a stain on the bedding and the bottom of a kettle was burned so we requested them to be changed. When we came back in the evening and were ready to go to bed, we found out that the bedding wasn’t changed and it was flipped facing the bed. The kettle wasn’t changed either. We were offered to change into another room just before midnight as there was no house keeping. In the second room, there was no toilet roll or a spoon to stir after making a coffee. The glasses in the bathroom weren’t clean and it smelt quite badly - we guessed it was mould. I spoke to the manager the next day and I was offered to have the housekeeper to clean our room, and breakfast vouchers. I turned down both offers as I didn’t trust their service again. After being out the whole of the second day, we came back to the hotel and found that our door wasn’t locked. The manager sent a maintenance person to fix the door and he was very apologetic about the situation. I personally feel these issues are appalling especially it comes to the cleaning and security. It has left me wondering if they actually change the bedsheets after people’s stay etc. They waived off the price for one night after I complained about the issues. If it wasn’t to save the hassle of moving, I would have checked out and asked for a full refund. I would not come back to this hotel again.

Looking at all the other review I was quite skeptical in the beginning however I think such reviews has made some huge difference . We booked for 5 days n 4 nights, basically the room was just okay although much can be done for a 4 star. The humblest request would be to have hot water for shower, I can’t imagine calling it a 4 star having only cold sometimes freezing water. Having breakfast not included we had to pay 25++ per person and managed to have decent portion of meal. The mini croissants were ♥️ Make sure you get there early for breakfast especially during long holidays as it’s quite pack n food finishes quite early. Location is very strategic as it’s quite near to the tourist attractions, walk, walk if you wanna enjoy n experience the beauty. Hotel is surrounded with lots of nearby shops such as speedmarts, eateries, and a mall connected to the hotel. Receptionist, staffs were friendly and helpful, quite welcoming . The view from the 28th floor was amazing 🤩 However it was worth spending so much to unwind

Check in at 3pm, process is fast. Staff are friendly. We got high floor room with nice view. Room is spacious tidy arrangement. Here's the bad part begin. We booked the room for 2 Adults and 2 children, by common sense the hotel suppose to provide 4 sets of amenities, bath towel, face towel but they didn't they just provide 2 sets. Request for another 2 bath towels, was told that is chargeable for Rm10 for every towel. What is the purpose for us to clearly stated we are 4persons will check-in into hotel??? 2. One bath towel, hand towels and floor rag provided is very dirty-greyish colored🙈 3. The linens are clean, but the blankets and the pillows are very damp smell🙊🙈 4. The balcony glass sliding door lock is broken, can not be locked. We have to keep make sure our young children are not going out to balcony although we are not open the sliding🙈🙈 The others in the room which are not mentioned, they are in good condition. 5. The hotel breakfast is optional for rm25++ for an adult, kids half the price. Foods are less choice but no complaints. Nasi lemak, fried meehun, stir fried vegetable, breakfast sausage, hash brown, ham, canai, dimsum, small pau, porridge, cereals, bakery, eggs counter, fruits, nyonya laksa, juices, coffee n tea. The only complaint is the laksa, they served with cold laksa soup🙊 Hope the management to improve the above mentioned.

I was looking for a hotel specifically near Jonker and with a big pool for my daughter. There are 3 types of pools there which I like but be warned, the water is very cold. Breakfast is good and with different varieties also . Be sure to check other items needed during check-in since my room is not provided with a toilet mat and hair dryer at first.

Nice and clean hotel. Our children love the pool and the water playground. Great location as well. Parking is abundant, and security is assuring. Couldn’t comment much on the food as we ate outside, but would love to try it out in our future trips. Wouldn’t hesitate to choose this hotel again.

1) Front desk staff need to well trained.Upon check in she didn’t explain hotel facilities.Check in process was quick due to no deposit collected 2) Shower room was terribly dirty (mossy) , toiletries arrangements not proper.you need to ask for hairdryer etc. 3) room dusty everywhere.I guess room actually not ready to be given to guess 4) Calling Front desk & housekeeping to ask for toiletries & amenities they took longer time to answering a phone call.In fact they should know as a hotelier standard answering a phone call must be not more than 3 ringing. 5) NOISY during mid night.i guess its from live band bar down there. 6) The only good about this hotel its only the locations. Its a walking distance to attractive spot. 7) Overall, im not satisfied with this stay. The rate quite expensive due to peak season but the experiences was so terrible.

The whole room is tidy and satisfactory. Cleanliness is a little disappointing but still acceptable. I rent 2 rooms. I requested a connecting room but unfortunately the are full during my check in so they give me 2 room next to each other, side by side. My room is okay but my daughter’s room (27025) is a bit of a truck. The room door lock key are broken. Detached each time the door are closed and needs to put it back in place everytime. It make them felt insecured. I had to change room with my daughter because I was worried about their safety due to that door lock. Hotel close to tourist and attraction site. Just a walking distance to halal restaurant and Malacca Pirate Park. Quite despite being in the middle of the city. Elevator service are very bad. I need to wait almost an hour to board the elevator during check out time. The parking area are so confusing as it shares with The Shore hotel parking. The staff did not give any instructions on the parking area, just told me to enter zone B. I got lost a few times before I really understood the area. The pool are nice. There are 2 places to play water. 1 waterpark for children .. while the inside is like a privacy pool. Overall I can say its pleasant and satisfactory stay.

Dirty kettle, replacement came with maggot. Black dots fungi grown on toilet seat. I guess better to stay at 2 star hotels if hotels like Swiss Garden cannot keep up with cleanliness in this travel bubble. I mean my money is wasted!
