Not the same as on the website. The hotel is so smelly. The room was unexpected. The floor was not clean. The pillows are very thin. As well towels, are very bad and can be made into footwear. First and last check-in here. Thank you.
Considering paying rm300 plus for a room per night, I was expecting a well-maintained room.. Unfortunately, the floor was not clean, the bathroom floor was slippery.. Even the toilet couldnt be flushed.. We had to use a bucket of water, using the dustbin in the toilet.. In addition, please maintain your swimming pool as some of the tiles in the pool are broken and it might have hurt some of your visitors' feet.. It is also dangerous for kids.. So please take immediate action.. Thank you..
Nice place to stay Value for money Very helpful staff Near with attractive places Strongly recommended for those who are travel and visit Malacca Will stay at this hotel for my next visitation either for vacation or business trip
Stay Duration : 8th Octo - 10th Octo 2021. Room : 720 (Deluxe with breakfast). Location : Just fits the name of Sentral Hotel, this hotel is centrally located in the heart of Bandar Hilir (BH). The area is lively and the surrounding isnt so unsavoury. Just within a short distance walking is the famous Malacca River. And there are countless eateries around the area. It is within walking distance to the Historical Centre if you feel like a good walk and by car, it only took 3 mins to get to the heart of the old town, passing the scenic Little India, St Francis and the red wall of the dutch architecture. Reception and check in : We stepped in the lobby around 12pm and we were told that the check in only starts around 2pm. We decided to hang around in the lobby and by 12.20pm, I was called to the counter. My room is ready and they are releasing it an hour and half hour early, LUCKY ME. I had a simple chat with the warm and nice reception, Miss Aisyah. She is very caring and very polite. I worked in a hotel before so we had a chat about the business and the occupancy traffic. She is very responsive to our small conversations. Room : 720 is very spacious and clean. The carpet is old but surprisingly clean. The windows are clean and the bathroom is spotless. The 2 wooden chairs are very helpful for me to gaze upon the city view. The view is amazing. The only downside is the water pressure. It is a bit too low for my room. Breakfast : The breakfast is served as buffet and the area is okay. The food varieties are good. 9th Octo : Nasi Lemak, Kuey Tiau, Bubur, Potato Tots, Sausages and soup station for noodles. On the 10th Octo : Lontong, Noodles, Bubur and soup station. The salad varieties are very good however the thousand island dressing is a bit too sour for my 2 days there. Other than that, all are okay. Food are tasty, quantities are nice. I miss the potato tots, they arent around on the second day. Swimming Pool : Small but adequate for me. When the guests go to the breakfast lounge, we shot to the 10th floor and have the pool to ourselves. It was nice and well maintained. COVID SOP : Observed in most areas. They checked all guests' mysejahtera during check in, entering pool and the buffet lounge. Satisfaction : 98% satisfied.…
I came back to this hotel for good after 3-4 years of my last visit. Booked the second-highest of price’s room complete with breakfast. The room was totally awful (Room 808). The carpet seems not to have been vacuumed for quite some time as I saw black debris are everywhere. The bedsheet & the pillow itself are yellowish and smelly. The same goes for the bathroom - like public toilets in the pump station. Later I request to upgrade the room to a suite (they have only 2 suites). Before doing that I’d check with Agoda and found there is only around RM30-50 difference with the one I stayed. Unfornutaly the receptionist lady told me that I need to add RM150 for the upgrade. RM150 is the original rate for the suites as per the advertisement in Agoda. Meaning I have to pay the cost of 2 room for that stay. I know straight away this hotel is too desperate for money to come in and a big liar. Desperate to get a better room, I just agreed with the cost. I get Pengkalan Suite for the upgrade. The room was far away from clean compared to the last one. The bedsheet & pillow still white. In terms of cleanliness, it can be credit. However, the telephone is out of service, the bathroom door is broken, this frustrates me again. What a joke? Even suites are not well maintained, I don't think the cheapest rooms are promising for stay? Falsing the rate of room for upgrading also cant be accepted. A scammer hotel. Room services. The operation hour is 11.00 am - 10.30 pm. As the telephone is not functioning, my husband just used our mobile phone to order some food for dinner. However, the hotel cafe cant accept the order because they received quite a number of orders that night. This is funny because it is only around 8.50 - 9.00 pm at that time but they cannot cater to the order that comes in. Breakfast? The worst experience. The hotel served a limited choice of menus such as salty fried Kue Tiaw, oily Lontong, poor rice-porridge, cereals with thin milk (I bet the milk is added with water), and young pineapple as dessert. I guess this is truly the worst throughout my experience staying in various star of hotels and resorts. Definitely not recommending not only Sentral Melaka but also the entire Hotel Sentral chain. A big NO for Sentral Hotel.…
This is my 2nd time visit to hotel sentral melaka. The first visit was on December 2019. on the 3rd day staying there, i started to feel itchy both on my hands. The Redness and itchiness ruined my 5 days of holiday . Too bad, on the 5th day i go back to kl bring the redness and itchiness and rush to clinic and pharmacy as the redness and itchiness become even worst. I never thought it was from the hotel until the first day of my 2nd visit on September 2020. My partner found a bed bugs running all over the bed, it was tiny. So we thought it won't cause anything bad but tomorrow comes and..... My hands started to feel itchy and getting red just the same as what i felt during my first visit. Since then.. i know .. the itchiness and redness comes from the bed bugs in the hotel. 2 times of holiday wasted just because of this thing. So frustated. I am just sharing my honest experienced. Book at your own risk.…
Check in slow. Counter staff was speaking loudly with housekeeping staff about rooms not ready. Room was dimly lit, air cond was loud and not cold, bed linen were not changed daily. Spots on sheets! The bathroom reeks of cigarette smoke. No tissue and no toiletries provided. Just 2 bar of small soap.Breakfast buffet minimal choice but hotel did not enforce SOP as some guest were not wearing masks when taking food, talking over the food, smelling the food!! Tables were not sanitized. Guests at this hotel were also irresponsible- throwing rubbish all outside their room.
Strictly no check-in before 2pm although hotel half-empty. Stood at reception for good 20 minutes from 1.40pm. Sticky floor and surfaces in room 612. Filthy carpets. Stay away from this hotel. Go to Hotel Orkid down the road.
We stayed for one night on the 3rd floor. The bed was crowded by bugs, pillow sheets and towels were very old, toilet flushing button was broken, the room's floor was dirty. Horrible and very disappointing.
Totally waste of money. Stains on carpet, bad smell on corridor, no toilettries, bust bins full on floors that cause smell. Cigrette buds on floor. Wet lifts, non educated guests hotel. I booked to see pics on web but there is nothing like that... Totally horrible..
