We stayed four nights in the Artist's suite (room 6) and found the room spacious (32 sqm not including the bathroom). A lot of character which we seek over the hard impersonality of large hotel. Tastefully furnished and well appointed bathroom. Tea and coffee provided. The owners are gracious and friendly. You do feel welcome. Lastly the view from the... More

I spend one night in Wayfarer GH and I liked it. The owner is very friendly! The day I went to book the room she gave me a map of Melaka and some Peranakan candys!! The GH is big and is clean. My room with attached bathroom and aircon was also very clean and the bed really comfortable with a... More

With many variable type of rooms, you can choose to stay up to 5-6 people. Rooms are clean and tidy, great environment, and a great common area to chill out. Located along the Melaka River please book a room with balcony to enjoy to the maximum. No breakfast provided but all day long for local coffee, tea, and local biscuits.... More

This is an old house renovated and done up tastefully. Has just a few rooms - not more than 15 perhaps. Located alongside the river with rear access to the promenade. We had a room on the top floor with a small sit out overlooking the river. Has no lifts. The rooms are tastefully done and are very neat and... More

Perfect location, interesting house, but other than that the place itself, as a guesthouse, fails to impress. While the river view rooms are certainly nice and worth the little extra (the guests staying there let me have a peek), other rooms are bare, perfunctorily decked out, and characterless, . One really feels that the place could have much more charm... More

Located in Hang Jebat alley, by the riverside and only 500 m from Jonker Walk; this is the right area to stay if you visit Malaka. First impression, the interior has traditional Chinese touch, clean and feels very homey. Ground floor is reception area; sitting room with comfortable sofa, coffee corner; and mini cafe+bar. We can see the river through... More

This is a cosy, very well-run guest house operated by a couple, not one of those huge impersonal hotels for large tour groups. It is located on Lorong Hang Jebat, near Jalan Tokong where the oldest temple the Cheng Hoon Teng temple in Malaysia is situated. It is also within walking distance to many of the attractions in the heritage... More

Never regretted choosing this place for my short stay in Malacca. This guesthouse is perfectly located such that travelling to most of the historical sites, eating places and shopping areas is easy and hustle-free! I thoroughly enjoyed the lovely ambience and homely feeling I got when I entered the guesthouse. The lady host was very approachable, friendly and always smiled.... More

It's a lovely budget hotel / home stay located at the heart of the tourist area of Malacca. It's clean and comfortable although I found the mattress rather lumpy. All rooms are up flights of stairs so if you have trouble with stairs this place isn't for you. Parking is by the street and it's purely up to your luck.... More

This hotel couldn't be more central - right at the river and in walking distance to all other historical sites. The rooms are spacious and the quality of furniture/decoration is good and appealing. They don't serve breakfast but there are multiple choices in walking distance.
