With 3 kids, wife and a plan of visit for food and junkets only, comfort was secondary. But safety a must. Found this 'motel' quite by accident. We wanted the real rickety shophouses but all family sized rooms were booked. Pricing may be on the higher side for basic facilities, but am glad to have paid for the cleanliness, friendliness,...

A wonderful hostel experience. Stayed 2 nights. Friendly staff and helpful. Free Parking. Super clean rooms and toilets. Definitely going again. Rooms are a bit compact if you're traveling with big luggage otherwise its ideal for light travelers.

This was a lovely, new motel with very clean rooms and common areas but it felt much more like a hostel. Sayang Sayang is a chain in Melaka and I would say you would get better value for money in the hostels. We had a tiny room with no where to put our bags, there was only half a meter...

“1) Rooms only comes with option for attached bathroom. Toilets are shared. 2) Wifi reception not available on 2nd floor. 3) Only 2 power points in room. One for table lamp and the other free. Either bring extensions or don't use table lamp. (if you have attached bathroom, and need the room to be lighted at night, just leave the bathroom lights on) 4) Rooms with windows can be very bright as thin curtains won't block out sunlight. Either opt for rooms without windows if you like to sleep in, or bring sleep mask. 5) Noise proof level is next to zero. Even if you are not awaken by the sunlight in your eyes, you might be awaken by people talking or kids running along the corridor.”

“Ask for room facing along the street which is not so bright. The hot sun shines through the other rooms and the curtain are too thin to provide any shade.”

“Get a room (1) with a window and (2) with a bathroom. You still will have to use the public WC. Go there only if you're traveling on strict budget, or if you're going to stay not more than 1 night.”

“Don't worry about toilets being outside. What we need is the shower room inside always. Toilets are regularly cleaned.”

“Two person a room is good enough. However if added extra bed would be a little crowded.”
