I went to Melaka last year. As a budget traveler I choose L'armada because it has lowest rate than any other guesthouse. So I came there with low expectation. It's located on 4th floor with no elevator, but the room is so clean and tidy. The owner are so helpful. Overall I really enjoy my stay in L'armada.

I stayed at L'Armada for almost two weeks! It is a fantastic guesthouse with a great location. It is just on the edge of Chinatown and right on the river that splits the city. It takes maximum fifteen minutes to walk anywhere from L'Armada; to Jonker walk, Christ Church and Clock Tower, Shopping Malls etc. It's all right there. The...

Stayed in a private room for 2 over a public holiday so it was fairly busy. However, it was quiet and this place is big enough to mean you get your own space. The room we had was huge and with fab big windows looking out onto the canal. It only had a fan which is normally OK for us...

The staff, Ahmad is very friendly. I reached the guest house too early (8 a.m.), so I didn't have any room to check-in to (Check-out time is 2 p.m.). However, Ahmad let me shower and keep my things there first. He said I may explore Melaka city, and left my stuff there while waiting for a room for me. He...

Also it is maybe 3 minutes by foot to Chinatown and all the attractions. The only thing I don't...

Nice, clean, gorgeous views of the Malacca river from our room (huge windows), very friendly owner. The location is excellent (5 minutes walk from Chinatown and Jonker's Walk), but still very quiet for a good night sleep. The hotel is new, the beds are comfortable, the toilets (hot shower) are spotless. We loved to watch the hockey games (Canada-U.S.) on...

After spending two months in a range of overpriced, unfriendly and impersonal hostels all over the country, this place in Meleka bowled me over. The owner and his wife of this recently-opened guesthouse couldn't do more to make me at home, the diversity of guests age- and country-wise made it a really interesting stay, and it was such good value...

Me and my boyfriend stayed 2 nights at L'armada Guesthouse in Malacca. We took a double room and got a very nice room with big windows overlooking the Malacca river. The room was simple but clean and spacious. The owner was very friendly and pointed us in the right directon for a walk to Chinatown. The guesthouse is located just...
