Was there for our company teambuilding event. There were 20 of us and I must say we are not an easy bunch to manage. Yet the crew did an excellent job keeping up to our constant demand and request. Friendly and attentive staff, special thanks to Izhar and his team for making our stay memorable. Room was perfect, clean and comfortable. We had a pleasant stay at Liu Men Hotel which had an interesting colonial decoration which well captured the malacca history. The hotel services are excellent. Great rooms. Fantastic location to Jonker Street. I will definitely will come back again for my next trip.

The Liu Men Hotel is very strategically located in the old part of Malacca. Just on the next street to Jonker Street and a short walk to virtually all the must see sights in Malacca. Liu Men means 6 doors in Chinese and is named because the hotel consists of 6 pre-war shoplots with the old exterior facade mainly left intact. The interior and the rooms are tastefully designed to look like a period bygone. The hotel staff are extremely attentive and will go out of their way to make your stay an extremely pleasant one. For guests driving to Malacca, Liu Men provides ample free parking in its backyard - very important in the busy Jonker Street area ! I will not hesitate to recommend Liu Men if you're heading to Malacca. Kudos to hotel manager Izah, staff Shirley and boss Edmund for such a pleasant stay.…

Great location next to a Chinese temple, at a few minutes from Jonker Street. The hotel is beautiful, stylish and not too big. The street is a quiet street. Television, hot water, internet, airco all worked perfectly. We booked two rooms and both impeccably clean and beautiful. Breakfast was good (selection is limited but it is enough). Staff is polite and helpful. Check-in was fast and one room was ready earlier than check-in time. By the time we entered the room they called us to say the second room was ready. Check-out was fast too. I would highly recommend this hotel.

It was my first visit to this hotel. It is located in Jonker Street with many tourist destinations and nice food just a stone throw away. The room I had was the Hang Tuah room and it was very comfortable. The design is infused with elements of Peranakan yet modern (particularly the toilet), and the whole room is meticulously clean. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by the friendly staffs with welcome drink at reception. Once in your room, you will have a handwritten welcome note from the general manager of the hotel (this is a very nice gesture!). Late evening, you will be given some snacks, in addition to the free coffee, tea and snacks available in the room. The morning buffet served are classic Malaysian food (Nasi Lemak, Bihun) and some European pastries. I have had better buffet, so if you're there for food, you may not be wowed. I had an untowardly incident in which I forgot to bring home a pair of pants and only found out once I'm back in KL. Nevertheless, the staff were approachable and I manage to get my pants back through courier. (Special shoutout to Stella, the staff from Liumen!) Overall, this has been a nice weekend getaway. It was relaxing and the whole set-up was very comfortable, homely and I enjoyed it greatly. Will come back another time.…

Liu Men is definitely a hotel which Malacca has needed for a while (big enough compared to the small homestays around the street but not as commercialized as those hotel chains). Trust me, you will love everything about this place - the strategic location with short walking distance to Jonker street but far enough from crowds and noises, the sleek and modern restoration of the architecture, the oriental charm and peranakan heritage, beautiful art paintings and decorations, high standard of cleanliness, hearty breakfast, great service (shout out to Jenny and her team) and many more! I would rate Liu Men a 5-star boutique hotel and it is definitely a place I will revisit!

Chose to stay here again not only for its strategic location but coz of their friendly staff who really make you feel like you are at home. Kudos to Izhar, the hotel manager, and his team. They are such an awesome bunch! Breakfast options are pretty good and the rooms are very cozy. We love their pillows!
