A lovely little guesthouse perfect for budget travellers! The rooms whilst not being perfect are quaint, and the staff are very attentive! Breakfast is lovely and the outside garden area is also very sweet. We played chess out in the garden numerous times! Location is fantastic and there is a lovely street food place just round the corner that the... More

Not our first visit, and for sure not our last one. Excellent spot to stay in Melaka and get the kampung vibes. Unique to enjoy this garden so well maintained. Every morning we enjoyed a different simple local breakfast, highly appreciated by all the guests. 5 stars.

Situated in a house constructed in 1912. As there are only eight rooms and the owners live in the same house, you will really have the feeling to be staying in a friend’s house. Also helps how careful and attentive are the owners, Kenny and his wife Linda, with their guests. In the morning you will enjoy a very good... More

I am very happy to find this homestay next to tourist spots, only 7 min away from santiago hill, red square etc. The neighbourhood is quite safe next to a high school and five star hotel. The house itself is wood structure, I like the atmosphere and the owner is very informative and helpful. There's a big garden outside, I... More

We had such a comfortable and unforgetable stay @ Apa Kaba and were sad leaving the great family with the paradise garden! The 'patron' ;) even gave us an extended tour around the city and told us a lot of interesting, special and useful information about melacca, the history, people, the culture and the vegetation! Thanks to him we touch... More

I had a great stay in Apa Kaba Home & Stay during my trip to Melaka/Malacca!! Here are my comments about the hostel: - If you look at the photos, the house-turned-hostel seems to be located in the middle of nowhere. However, upon arrival, I realized that the hostel was right in the center of downtown Malacca, around 5-10 minutes... More

We stayed for two nights and we enjoyed it! It's basic but authentic and you have everything you need. The best thing is the friendly staff. In the garden you can chill out. The breakfast is basic but good. The beds could use new sheets though. You will enjoy your stay if you are looking for an authentic accommodation in... More

Calm, peaceful and friendly. The garden is lovely and the perfect place to chill out on the seats in the shade. A garden such as this seems rare in Melaka. Kenny is a laid back and helpful host. Cats, chicken, wild birds

Very charming place and the owners are so helpfull, wish I could spend more time there to enjoy the garden. Everything was there what we needet, so nothing to complain about it. I felt sick, so Kenny was locking after me, I am so thankfull and blessed for this. Best place to have a calm rest from funny Melaka.

This is the place to stay if: 1. You want to live in an authentic local house (third generation owners). 2. You want to meet local people - the owners are charming and always helpful. 3. You want to meet people like yourself, except some are much more adventurous than you, for sure. You can save money here, but that... More
