I was looking for a "nicer" hotel than the s***hole of a one I was currently at and landed on this one. Their 900 rupee rooms were full so I went with a 1600 room. It was spacious, very clean, had a fan and mini fridge. The bathroom was clean as well and had 24 hour hot water. The bed...

Kolkata's accommodation is overpriced overall, however Ashreen Guest House is far better value for money than other hotels here for similar prices. Would stay again! Rooms are super clean, and fresh looking. Hot water was excellent, available all times and with no lag. its off a lane off Sudder St, where there are a few good eats, and just around...

We stayed here for 3 nights in February 2014. Good location: situated very near to the New Market, in a side lane Cowie Lane/ Hartford Street, off Sudder Street. Staff were very helpful & polite. They cleaned the room everyday. Room was clean & spacious. The washroom was a bit small though! Hot water was working 24-hrs. Overall, good value...

We stayed here our final night in India. At 995 rupees it was expensive, however the room was nicely decorated, very clean, and though the bathroom was older/not renovated good hot water and was also nice to be up higher with view to some greenery. Reception was nice and welcoming, and were able to leave luggage for the afternoon (we...

Far too expensive for the room you get in this hotel. Even if the floor is clean, the bedsheets are dirty, the bathroom was not very clean as well. There is neither wifi nor a computer available, which I think for this price is unacceptable. I had the AC above the bed and it was leaking, so the bed wa...

The staff are constantly trying to deceive you, claiming more than what you agreed, returning evil the money when you pay them for the room, not cleaning the room, etc. and you'll sleep near mosque at 4:00 am you'll wake up for muslim prayer. Site to avoid.
