Destination Kurseong literally means “Land of White Orchid” in local language. It is an old hill city in the lap oh Himalaya at a height of 4860 ft. British loved this neighbor of Darjeeling for her natural beauty and charming weather round the year. Many churches and educational institutions enlightened her glory. But, now-a-days, this lovely land is considered mainly... More

We were greatly disappointed when we stopped at Kurseong Tourist lodge for tea on our way to Darjeeling. No, we were not disappointed with the tea. The golden Makaibari tasted as brilliant as ever but what killed our joy and made the environment completely cheerless was the absence of the Senior Manager Mr Anil Gurung. We really missed the welcoming... More

Wonderful place in the North East. After visiting this place, one wonders, there is no need to travel abroad. Everything is available in India itself. This tourist lodge was a nice place to stay. I wish to come here again.

Kurseong is a quaint town lies at an altitude of about 4800 ft. The tourist lodge is well located but needs renovation. The lodge has a restaurant, where good homely made food is served. Booking can be done through WBTDC. Small Town but it's scenic beauty is splendid. Misty environment fascinates the tourists. Recommend for one night stay.

Good place to stay. The rooms are a little small. But the balcony is nice. So is the hotel and the bar. Service is appropriate. Location is on the main road. Food is good. You have plenty of option in the hotel and the good thing is they cater to your requests.

Cozy, Beautiful and importantly clean and hygienic. Traveled with family.... got a parking space and good food. Most importantly, you will have a good taste of Darjeeling Tea there. They serve a good Darjeeling Tea. Even if you don't stay there...you must stop there for refreshment and should try a cup of TEA.

(Reviewing the restaurant only) Momos .... Ah !!! That's available everywhere... aplenty !! Gone those days when a Delhite had to rush to Hills for a plate of momo and a steaming soup.... or a Calcuttan, on a rainy afternoon while stirring his regular cuppa, fondly remembered the queer shaped meat-stuffed hand made dumplings, typically of Nepali origin !!!!!! They... More

One can stay here and enjoy Darjeeling. Room is clean as well as bathroom. Double bedded room size is average and one should go for the larger room which is only Rs. 200/- costlier and greater in size. There is a view of the hill and luckier ones would see Kanchenjungha which is seen in a clear weather. Restaurant prepare... More
